Hello.

After the update today, I haven't been able to get the game to load.

It will bring up the screen with the FunPimps logo on it, but once the logo fades the page just stays and doesn't advance [as shown in the attachment]. Anything I try to do from there just makes it crash.

I verified files first and no change.

I uninstalled the game and reloaded it, no change. I then verified files after the reload, and no change.

Thanks for your attention.

Reproduction Steps
Start game and just let it go. It stops on the black screen all on its own.

Also, the Link to Logs: below. I am not finding anything in the files like this!
And I linked the screen shot above in the initial post!

The log file would be here (example): C:\Users\"Your User Name"\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\logs

Same issue here, have also updated Graphics Drive butt that didn't help. Haven't yet had the Easy Anti-Cheat pop-up but I do get a "not responding" pop-up:

Hopefully this helps. If a log file isn't made or it just ends with nothing too useful, looking at event viewer may help.

Search for Event Viewer in Windows' search1761248581343.png

Open up Windows Logs, then go into Application. Look for anything Error with an exclamation mark that has anything to do with 7 days to die or EAC that happened around that time

These are my log files for all the attempts to run the game since the update

Let's make sure we're working with a clean environment, run these two in the command window (windows search for cmd or winkey + r and run cmd)

chkdsk /f
then
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Ran chkdsk on bot c: and d: drives, no issues reported.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.19041.3636

Image Version: 10.0.19045.6456

No component store corruption detected.
The operation completed successfully.

Hm could you take a poke at the event viewer and see if there's any info there?

Just tried running without Easy Anti-Cheat and that seems to work fine! Obviously not ideal though
Hey taking a look at your event viewer log (lots to pour over still), I see Nvidia overlay failing for some reason. I see others like iCue.

Try disabling any overlays including Nvidia as well as completely exiting things like iCue; in fact, close everything not needed to be ran like that and give it a try.

There's also "GalaxyClient Helper.exe" causing failures, though that's GoG's software, try disabling that too

After some troubleshooting I disabled my Avast Antivirus and the game launched normally with EAC.
Can't say I'm happy about disabling my antivirus though, nor do I recommend to anyone to do so.
