The upcoming changes feel promising

I don't think I actually "see" more at night than most folks, I think my brain is just more used to interpreting what little I can see into usable information.

Same. I mean, I have trouble with bright lights and generally like things darker, so perhaps I just get more practice. Maybe I've got a few more receptors, or maybe not. At my age I want to think any genetic advantage I might have had is gone.

There's also knowing your environment. For instance, I know deer like to bed down in my backyard about once a month. If I walk through my backyard at night I know to look for them. If I didn't it would be easy to overlook them. Since I know to look, it is easier to spot the slightly darker mass laying in the grass or spot one silhouetted against some distant light.

Also, as a stealth player in game, I hang out with in-game darkness a lot, and while I don't mess with the Gamma other than to turn it down a tick, I do adjust my interior lighting. I'll bring up a "black screen" webpage on my other monitors and turn off any background lights in the house, making it easier for my eyes to adjust.

It bothers me that you guys completely made Night time into (It's still light outside but I guess it's night?), a lot of mods have fixed this by adding in a real darker night. (please don't tell me to lower my gamma that's not the answer here)
Did you ever bother to look to the sky in game? Noticed that gigantic moon, that is always there? How can it be ptichdark with that thing around? Mister "It's still light outside but I guess it's night?)".

Ya people under estimate moon light. Best way to see what it actually does current time is at sea.
