Minor Inconsistencies

So as we all know, you can upgrade almost any block in the game to a stronger version in some way (i.e wood blocks to cobble, cobble to concrete, concrete to steel). Not only can you do this to most blocks, you can also do it to most doors and other fixtures. There are, however, some minor inconsistencies with this upgrade system on things that take the upgraded version of an item like needing an iron door to upgrade/replace a wooden one but for spike traps, it is not wooden spike trap > iron spike trap. To upgrade the wooden spikes to iron spikes, it takes plan iron ingots. I would like to see it all be one way or another, but not a mix. Please, TFP, make it so either everything is raw mat upgrade (taking iron/steel ingots) or make everything a replacer (using iron doors to upgrade/replace wooden doors). I personally would like it if it were all just raw materials instead of the replacer system, but thats just me...

There's a reason for some of it; and that's .. time. Setting up a wooden hatch in a suitable doorway in a difficult POI and then upgrading it instantly up to steel used to be rather stronk. Now, you'll have to prebuild steel hatches in a workbench, at least. You can, but it's a bit more involved.

Base upgrades on the other hand, requiring prebuilding every block would be rather annoying. We'd do it, but it'd just achieve extra annoyance.

Anyhoo, just a couple thoughts on why it is like it is; it's not wrong to want it more unified.

I mean fair, I would be happy either way, I just want them to pick a lane lol Just wasted a bunch of time and resources repairing all my wooden spikes cause I thought I had to upgrade them using iron spikes which means the wooden ones would need to be fully repaired first... NOPE! xD And I know thats mostly my fault for not checking but still lol
