PS Glitch through floor reconnection error

Hi
My partners glitches through the floor and then the game disconnected. He now cannot get back on to my game even if I invite him. When he glitched through the floor he was partied with me and allied.
When he tries to join or accept my invite it just says recieiving invite and goes no further.
We've tried restarting both consoles, reconnecting to internet etc. Everything!
Edited to add that we are both playing on PS5.
I don't have a log and can't work out how to find it so can't post in the bug section - sorry!

We were on the same network, same house.
We've tried reconnecting and resetting and restarting all the things and he still can't get back on.

Looks like it might be bad timing. We've been hit by the epic online services EOS outage so will see what's happening when that's fixed lol

Make sure both clients are wired and not on wireless.
