PC V2.2 b3 EXP

There you go with your inflated numbers again. For once, can't you just use valid information instead of exaggerating? "... the many console players" or "... all of the console players".
I agree with you...it would be more accurate to just say "console can't". no numbers necessary. sorry Grandpa, i get why you said it that way, but I have no idea what the console numbers are for this version or the last one. I don't know why it is impossible to get a accurate breakdown of the history of sales. I have gone down the rabbit hole looking. I had originally given you a cookie but changed it...you're right...and I recognize the frustration. You are just trying to get people to stop being hyperbolic. I think...if I 'm wrong I am sorry.

I don't normally care too much if people exaggerate. I've been known to do it as well. My frustration is specific to Grandpa Minion because he'll keep using these inflated numbers and misinformation over and over no matter how many times he's proven wrong. It gets really frustrating to see "millions of PVP players", "millions of console players", "millions of Chinese console players", "majority play PVP", and so on. (That last one isn't a direct quote as I don't remember how it was worded, but the others are quotes that were said, though may be slightly paraphrased).

it would be great to know when there is going to be some kind of follow up on the townhall.
Dates again? ;)

On a serious note, I wouldn't expect anything for a while. They are going to spend time working on the things they mentioned. Those will get added as they are finished. Until those are done or mostly done, I wouldn't expect much more about it. After all, it's only been a little over a week.

You can always ask faatal how things are going with those things and there's a decent chance he'll reply.

lol ... that was a good one.

imo...the longer it takes before they make a statement...the more public sentiment sags towards "they are full of poop".
I do think it will take more than a minute to form a plan...then start to implement it. But they implied there would be more conversation in some form. at this point, even just a statement that they are working on a plan is better than nothing. it buys them time to actually work on that plan. unless they don't care that the public sentiment is still simmering, bubbling, and it will spill over again, sooner than later.

the fact the there are a lot of new threads treading the same ground over and over, might indicate people really mean it...they are earnest.

Why? At least one of those changes is already in 2.2 (I didn't look closely to see if any others are). They are clearly working on at least some of those things. In any case, it's been a week. It is hardly necessary for them to talk about something that they just got done talking about. They said in that stream that they there were already working on some of those changes. What more is there to say... repeating themselves every few days to say they are working on things? That's not necessary.

A lot of people today have gotten this idea that they should have constant and instant information about everything. They lack patience.

Grandpa has is own thread elsewhere in the forums for PvP, but refuses to keep his posts there where they belong... Toxic behavior.

how does me talking about parkour have any thing to do with a pvp post? I mentioned the perk parkour and Riamus chimed in like always, the conversation was about this perk parkour giving the ability for players to jump out of a gyro at sky limit and land with 0 damage.

I was replying to Riamus' comment about you, saying: It gets really frustrating to see "millions of PVP players"...
And also from seeing more posts in the 2.0 Dev thread, still about your beloved PvP that "Millions" don't care about.

Glad to see a reduction in spitter and frostclaws.

Now, how about that almost guaranteed death slow the insects inflict? The sole reason why the desert is by far the hardest biome now. Being unable to move while 3 or more zombies are hitting you isn't a challenge, it's a death sentence.

I only go to the desert now to do the biome challenges, and then I leave permanently to avoid dying indirectly by insects.

At the very least, the duration of slow should be cut from 6 to 3 seconds, and the amount of slow reduced from 75% to about 40%. Also, remove being able to refresh duration when hit again while slowed. This will still make the desert a threat, but give you a chance to actually survive it.

This is very interesting, I for example have seen that some people complain that the zombies are able to swim, or break concrete blocks with their hands, or can not drive during the hordes by the vultures, because it supposedly breaks the sandbox experience, if this were changed to please them it would affect me negatively, because I would have to impose myself not to use cheese techniques, more than I already do, everyone is free to play as they want but if the game design has some rules, you have to adapt. Of course you are free to use nerdpole or other cheesse techniques, I wouldn't criticize anyone for doing so, as long as they don't want to change the game to their vision.
There will always be people who think they are better for playing in a more difficult way, or with a certain weapon etc, this happens a lot in other games.
Wow, people who complain about swimming zombies must be a riot at parties. No doubt the same type of people that would think 7days zombies jumping from great heights and ragdolling is bad, or (one my favourite things that makes me laugh) is when zeds fall through doors, that fun never gets old, love it

Throwing my 2 cents in because I'm Jax and I stick my nose in lol.

Since playing on servers starting with A13, and running Ravenhearst, and having joined Discords for Server Tools, MeeBot, other now defunct 7 Days bots, along with interacting with 7 Days accounts for Facebook, Reddit, Twitter etc.....

I am BAFFLED where all these PVP players are. I HEAR about how popular PVP is, I hear a handful complaining there are no MODS or SETTINGS tailored to PVP but actually roaming around the community for a few years it seems like PVP is very much an acquired taste enjoyed by very few 7 Days players.

Even larger servers dedicated to PVP have all but shut down and only a few servers actually exist and thrive for PVP. Its usually just very small groups of friends.

PVP has MANY games devoted to it. 7 Days has never been one of those games and probably never will be.

Have a cookie anyway because discussing PVP in 7 Days, we need all the sugar we can get.

Stun baton is the most powerful weapon right now) considering the bunch of improvements in perks and books). I would like to see a fix.
perfectly said, i agree 100% and have posted about this issue many times.
A) No weapon in game should do more damage than an admin gun. Period ....
B) The insta death perk with baton is just another example of reality not meeting the item,
physicians are healers not killers.
C) Batons are used for crowd control by police and military in the real world not for killing.

just another example of this game taking away the surivivability
"lets make the baton insta kill"
"lets make parkour let you jump from sky limit, hit the ground with 0 damage"
seriously, who is making these judgement calls.
