What is exactly not being followed?
Biome progression
Outfits
Crossplay
More Zombie stages
Twitch drops
And the DLCs....

We got all of that.... am I forgetting something?
Or is this just about not meeting the tentative dates?

I am assuming this was directed at me...if not I apologize.

Did I say they were not meeting the line items?
that is a false argument...I don't like that it is happening in their own time...with no communication.

Losing 6 months because TFP didn't have storms for 2.0 Storm's Brewing is unacceptable to me. We ARE past the point where Bandits Should be the focus...and Joel wants to reopen the convo on Jars? chasing rabbits again instead of finishing the game.
Yes...we eventually got crossplay and dedicated. what's your point? That they will get to everything eventually...just give them unlimited time?

Yes, that's my position. I play the game on PC, so maybe the perspective from a console player is different? I play other games when I feel like I've exhausted all the interest I can seem to muster in a 7DTD update. If/when they update the game, it gives me another reason to come back and play some more. I don't need that to happen on a specific date, or by a specific date. I don't mark it on my calendar and plan my activities around these dates or anything.

As each update gets closer to being finished, I start paying more attention usually, as I see content creators start talking about the game more, or there are official updates on the main 7DTD website, etc. Until that point, unless I'm playing the game, I don't really think about the game much.

As much as I look forward to big updates, I also dread them because there's always a chance they'll break my favorite mods. So I don't exactly get hung up on release dates. If a date gets missed, I almost feel a sense of relief tbh.

yup, forgive me, this is not the industry standard definition...it's just my way of saying it.
It means no longer chasing rabbits. The features are well defined and are being finalized. not open to change unless REQUIRED for bug fixes.

i was surprised when they announced the re-launch...I thought they should have waited until after they had the PC game done before they did the port.
it was the roadmap that changed my mind. after all these years they finally had a reasonable plan to finish the game with a reasonable timeline to do it. jokes on me.
 
Hey @Laz Man, I finally made it through all the new tier 5 POIs and they are flippin' awesome, congrats to you and all the other people working on them!
I actually love the idea of multiple T5 versions of the same theme like the quarries, is this something you guys will expand upon? I know we have like Grover High and the Favales Academy or the General Hospital and a few clinics, but it feels like the team restricts itself to only one big T5 and maybe smaller T3-4s per theme. Or is it just my imagination?
Anyway, just wanted to thank the team for all the hard work on the POIs!

lol...friend...I have said that I get why PC gamers are good with this...you guys got a sweet deal. year after year of updates...a highly moddable game platform. I am happy for you guys. I wish more developers did parallel development, so each platform gets the most they can out of THEIR system.
You guys got boned too (imo) with the dumbing down/nerfing to make it work on console.

They didn't even get this site ready for console players to return to the game AND THEY KNEW WE WERE COMING.

The two player bases are different...TFP invited us back to the table and you guys are telling us to STFU and wait and wait and wait...and eventually TFP will get to it. That is not what I agreed to.

I mean they are listening they just aren't the best at telling us about it and im sure they aren't happy but they are listening so it's something

This is why I and others are trying to tell them to HIRE a community manager. They have proven that they have no interest or ability to communicate.
Joel went on Reddit...and if you ask around...read comments, today people are saying it felt like a poorly thought out stunt. they have little to no faith that it will be followed up, they don't understand why nothing was communicated to their other social accounts. (IMO) they just got more people wondering WTF are these guys doing?

Yes, we will probably do similar things in future updates. I recall both the T5 prisons also were released at the same time? (Alpha 21)

It just rubs people the wrong way in terms of how some people think they "talk down"

I also wouldn't mind if they had a someone to post "hey check out this discussion from Joel on the forums" or ya know go too the forums and update us rather then reddit. The forums are were mostly Veteran/hardcore go too, its more or less the same people. Imo i think we are the most reliable. Then joel said on reddit. " We will have to do a poll"

Why isn't the home of 7dtd getting that treatment lmao :D we only got faatal, laz and a few others.

We are like the abandoned child from the Playplace at Macdonalds.
