About "workstations requiring fuel" and more

As i heard - TFP plan to add eletrcic stove for cooking in future so that means that they will bring some sort of power consumption mechanic for workstation code which is nice! It would be nice if more workstations in future would require electricity and maybe electricity mechanic itself will recieve QoL update! Also would be nice to see more workstation types in future like repair table where u could logicly repair stuff, drying rack, loom workstation, rust recycler analogue, Lathe workstation and etc! Tools for workbench and other various workstations which will change their look and could be used for crafting specific things like what we see in forge and campfires!
TFP - please make cement mixer consume gasoline like gas generators does (with way less fuel capacity and faster fuel burning) U can see small engine and gas can from the back of cement mixer! Game needs more stuff which makes sence

My guess is that you will need a battery in the oven.. Don´t think they will overhaul the electricity overall.

A big no to cement mixers with small tanks and high fuel usage. That will either result in people having 10 mixers or if they make the mixers harder to craft it will be annoying af if you have to constantly refill them.

Well anyway, they can make cement mixer like gas generator - holding same capacity and consuming at same rate, no difference for me! Just wish they "make it"! Game is already heavilly casualised! Why would they even make cement mixer recipe harder? there is no point of it
Also about what u said to eletrcic oven - if they will make it require accumulator - will be nice too!

There is no point in limiting the fuel in the cement mixer if you can just spam craft them. That only results in needing more space. That´s why i said they might make it harder to craft because making the fuel limited would be pointless otherwise.

"There is no point in limiting the fuel in the cement mixer if you can just spam craft them" - same logic can be applied to chem station and campfire! Well u see they also hold limited amount of fuel for idk - 10+ years? and nobody made a problem out of it...! Players who spam craft cement mixer or other wokstations - were doing it before and will continue doing it - it doesnt change anything! How u can deny whats wasnt even tested? Even electric cement mixer variant in Undead legacy was not tested by many players to judge its negative and positive sides! This is basicly "making a mountain out of a molehill"

Well this: "like gas generators does (with way less fuel capacity and faster fuel burning)", from your first post sounds not like it would work like the chemstation at all, but rather only runs for a very short time. Did you forget what you actually posted?

1) I updated my previous reply 2) I just gave an example - they can make 1 variant or 2 or even make their own 3d variant - not big deal!
3) about 3rd variant - can be just cloned campfire Fuel Window which will not have campfire sound and will accept only gas can (as primitive variant)

I don't have an opinion on fuel / electricity issues, but I thought I'd point out some players worry about Screamers and the current Cement Mixers have a HeatMapStrength of 5.

I don't know if they would continue to do that if they were electric. I vaguely remember that electric lights weren't to attract zombies. Now that I think about it, I wonder why generators don't influence the HeatMap since it is a fueled block. Hmm...

i personally dislike the mechanic of workstations generating heat for screamers , unlike firearm which logicly attracts zombies with loud noises! This is the part of bad gamedisign which shouldnt be added from the beginning

Noise is also heat. A cement mixer is not exactly quiet. So no matter how it´s fueled it makes sense that it produces heat. So, yeah, the generator should also produce heat.

It would be nice if it were possible to connect the concrete mixer to electricity.

I don't want to start having to use electricity or fuel for cement mixers. They are fine as they are. I also don't think we need electrical versions of the different workstations. Use a mod if you want that. It's enough that they are doing the stove, but I don't think that's really needed either. I'll build that just for the aesthetics, but not because I have any need of such a thing. The others would not even be aesthetics.

@Riamus For MP a stove with more slots and faster cooking is more than just aesthetics. They designed this game for MP so a lot is made with that in mind, but a lot also isn´t sadly. Like balance right now.

I dont know what the problem to manage them in a game where u press buttons (its strange how u not disliking generators, solar or battery banks, turrets, traps and etc which also reqire some management)....or laziness or not liking any difficulties🤷‍♂️

I think part of the problem with the term "heat" is that it's English slang for "attention" and not everyone is a native English speaker around here. I've seen this exact thing play out a number of times over the years, having to explain that "heat" doesn't mean actual temperature -- it means ANY sort of attention.

I was talking about my own games. For me, it would only really be for aesthetics. I start cooking and leave, so time doesn't matter. And I always have 3 campfires, so I can easily cook enough things at once already.

Because I don't want to have to set up power or use the limited amount of fuel that I have when I start using cement mixers. I set up power later and don't start mining fuel until later, so having to do one of those first doesn't interest me. And just because I am not interested in your suggestion isn't reason to start labeling me as lazy.

Fueling Cement Mixers would be fine with me if they held enough to run for 5-6 hours without running out. I usually have 4 mixers that are running for > 1 hour based on what I've fed into them (can only produce sand/cement so fast, after all.)

In older versions, the generator affected the heat map. That's why solar panels were very relevant. Now this is not the case, I suppose there were problems with calculating this heat. Since its output power can vary from 0 at no load to 300 at full load.

Currently you can not just use a mod to accomplish any of this without a code rewrite and addition, but I do agree with you, allow it on the stove in vanilla. If they do that then THEY will have added the required code to make this feature work and mods can then use that logic for whatever they want to expand with.
