Marauder hip armor sticking out

When using the Marauder outfit cosmetic, the hip armor sticks out like wings, whether I'm standing or on a vehicle.

Maybe because it's not game breaking and they have more important issues right now?
Have you tried removing the armor and putting it back on?

I have, multiple times. It'll even look correct on my character sheet (sometimes it doesn't), but on a vehicle or to other players while I'm just standing there, the flaps stick out.
