Windows How many traders are required to avoid breaking progression?

Hi there,
I am planning to create 3k map strictly for PVP community event server (30+ players).

Whenever I pre-gen map for that purpose, I can see that there are just 2, sometimes 3 trader spots.

How many traders are required to avoid breaking progression?

Are there any other things on such small map that may break progression?

Thanks,
7daysenjoyer

PS: Is there any way to make players receive no damage from other players in the safe zone?

You need to have at least one of each trader.

When you create a map, you can load it, go into Developer Mode (DM), and then select POI teleport. Type in trader and it will show you all the trader locations on the map. If you have all 5 of them (Rekt, Jen, Bob, Hugh, Joel), you are good.

I recently did a 4k map, but found out after I completed T2 quests, that it didn't have a Trader Bob. It had a very nice city in the desert, but was not placed in that city.

Regarding progression, the only thing that you can break are the Open Trade Route quests. They are done in order, so if you have a missing trader, you won't be able to do all of those. But you can so l skip a missing trader and just have one less completed quest.

Those quests are entirely optional and are designed to help you find traders. But since you can just drive down the road and it will take you to the next town and the trader will be right at the entrance to the town, it isn't critical to complete those.

I make my maps using Teragon. Although I could make them to follow progression, I don't. I have traders in random biomes. I try not to start with Rekt. Other than the Open Trade Route quests, everything works normally.

The thing you do need to be aware of on a small map regarding progression is that you have all biomes unless you want to turn off biome hazards. You can't skip badges for biomes.
