V2.1 EXP

What about being able to turn off the written warning at certain levels (ie: Turn Storm Warning Off at Level: 5, 10, 20, etc). This way new players get the benefit of it, but players who it annoys just get the siren sound effect.
I would prefer to turn off the siren, but leave the text warning. A siren somewhere in the middle of sand dunes is too unnatural.

I really like the visual implementation of the storm in Conan Exiles. At first, you hear the sound of the wind. Then it starts to get stronger and stronger, some leaves and blades of grass start flying in the air. If you are in an open area, then you start to see a wall of sand approaching you. It looks gorgeous.

I don't know if the engine of this game supports such effects, but it would be nice to see something similar here.

Yep it fixed it for me, thank you schwanz. Cant wait to see the fixes, they're looking great!
I assume you were part of 2.0 streamer weekend. That issue was mentioned by those who were part of that. They did also say they could just choose that option and it would get the experimental version, but uninstalling and reinstalling fixes the issue completely and is probably the best option. Glad it's working for you now.

From what I've seen, it's pretty obvious a storm is "brewing" without the need to hear the sound or have a text notification. Having the timer just as a buff/debuff on the side would be fine, I think. But I get what faatal said about wanting it to be very easy to understand for new players. I just don't think new players wouldn't figure it out pretty quickly. So, yeah... a new player without any idea about the storm might die because they don't try to find shelter when they see the storm starting, but that probably won't happen a second time.

I think adding things like that to a "Tutorial" setting in options that can be disabled to remove all the extra "help" would be worth having.

I don't think this game needs a tutorial. I remember my first game, it seemed very difficult and scary to me. I turned off the appearance of enemies, ran around a bit, understood the crafting mechanics, figured out food and water. Then I started a new game with enemies.

I didn't mean to add one. I meant to use an option in settings (I just called it tutorial for lack of a better word) that lets you disable the "help" stuff like that storm warning for people who already understand the game.

Not sure if devs are reading this but it's possible to stop broadcasting the "WRN Animator" to all players?

The main reason that I am asking this is because that broadcast to the chunk and in particular servers that allows raid or even pvp makes the enemy 100% traceable which can become a game breaker for a few communities.

Thank you

Zombies, with Crouch Walk set to 0 in their entityclasses settings, sink into the the ground a little bit.
You can spawn a demolisher to confirm.
Do you mean CrouchType?

I’m curious on how significant of a boost this is. I assume its an in between of the amount of default and feral sense?
It is x2. Feral sense is mostly x2.5 with a few entities overriding that.

Personally, I think it would be too unfair to have every storm dropped on us without any kind of warning considering the damage they do. Plus people are already not liking the storm mechanics as they are now which could cause more frustration. However, I am not completely against the idea of sudden storms. For instance, if a storm suddenly occurs then there would be no damage done to the player, but you could risk the chance of being struck by lightning. I have suggested it before in another thread and I doubt it will ever get implemented, but I think would be funny nonetheless 😋
We have more changes for storms coming. Probably in 2.2. Damage will take much longer to happen, but there will be additional effects. My desire was to be able to leap frog between cover and these changes will move us more in that direction.

It's the "WRN Animation queue full for [Type=EntityPlayer, name=XXXX, id=123"

they do broadcast for players in the chunk so just by looking at the console I know if and who is near me.

Thank you Faatal
