PC Agility Mastery is underwhelming

The Agility Mastery perks don't seem worth it. Rapid Reload and Bleeding Hearts should both include archery and Bleeding Hearts should scale with the Deep Cuts perk. Lastly, Piercing Precision just doesn't hold up in comparison to all the other level 5 mastery perks. If it is just bows, it would be better with at least 40% more damage rather than 25%.

That 40% gets amplified by quite a bit while you're in stealth. the bow gets 200%. Add exploding arrowheads Add hidden strike
Damage bonus, and whatever bonus the gear you're using gives you. Add whatever other buffs you have from food and vending machine.

If you're not in stealth it's not as good. nothing is. An extra 40% doesn't hurt

Problem in general is that bows fall off late game. They need a rapid reload skill tree that allows you to reload arrows faster than they currently offer

As it stands now I agree that the Agility tree is one of the weaker trees currently.

Doesn't hurt, but highly depends on where it stacks. Probably on the same pile as other weapon damage buffs, so the increase is going to be less than half of the nominal. (50% from weapon quality, 50% from skill, 40% from mods => your "base" damage is 240%. Add another 25% and the "actual" increase is ~10%)

I think the biggest utility of that skill is stealth shots on armored targets; you'll still be better off with a crossbow...

I use bows throughout the game, even late game. Stealth shots with max hidden strike is just devasting. Even if the first show doesn't take them out, the second one does.

Sorry for the confusion. What I mean is that they underperform to a lot of other weapon types.

For starters stealth many POIs is not ideal as many spawns are behind cover and trigger when you enter a radius rather than based on sound/sight. This limits how many sneak attacks you can pull off and this isn't including Blood Moons where the sneak attack is completely removed. Combine that with the fact that you can sneak attack with firearms as well.

Rifles are similar in that they are weak for their DPS and don't do as good either for similar reasons.

Machine Guns and Shotguns and even pistols are considerably better mid to late game IMO.

Sneak attack is not "completely removed" during blood moons. Wildy inconsistent with how often you'll get sneak damage? Yes. But if you stay crouched and keep popping off shots at Zed's, you'll still get the damage bonus every so often. But even as someone who's played stealth for the past 3-4 major versions of the game, the idea of just stealthing in a corner someone and ignoring the blood moon entirely is a silly idea. May as well turn blood moons off if that's what someone wants to do

Edit: To stay on the original topic, ago mastery is definitely underwhelming compared to all the other mastery perks. Kinda funny that the best way to play the tree now is to also pick up perception (which has always been my fav tree to pair with agi) and go all in on a sniper rifle if you want to play as an assassin. I always picked up the tree for salvage ops, demo expert and penetrator; rifles were there as a means to consume 7.62 ammo. Although now that final mastery perk sounds rather spicy when paired with explosive arrows (which iirc double dip with damage from both archery and demo expert buffing them)

I love rifles but they are a trade off. They are frequently almost useless in POIs, although they do shine in the new open Tier 5s like the Rockworks and Hybrid Mining, but they're far and away the gun of choice for horde night.

The additional headshot bonus damage that rifles get is significant. I haven't measured it exactly but it seems roughly around an extra 50%. The rifle book that adds to headshot dismember chance doubles down on that, as your final dismember chance depends on how much damage you do. High damage plus enhanced dismember chance results in a lot of exploded heads. Add in the penetrator perk and you can regularly kill five tough zombies with one bullet. Now that's efficiency!

Possibly best of all, a fully perked out sniper will one shot a demolisher, up to Warrior difficulty anyway, which is a really convient way of taking them out of the fight.

AGI attribute itself is powerful. Above all, if you get used to Parkour, it will essentially be a 100% damage avoidance skill.

Jokes aside, Parkour itself is very powerful, and the newly added Hard Target can reduce damage even if you are pressed against a wall by simply pressing a movement key, so it is only slightly weaker than Pain Tolerance. Furthermore, SMGs can be created the fastest out of many Tier 3 guns.

Knives are also extremely powerful among melee weapons, and since they consume so few stamina that you don't need to take the skill, you can focus on gun skills without waste and contribute to the speed of creating SMGs.

AGI Mastery? Rather than taking it, it's overwhelmingly better to put it into FRT and aim for the synergistic effect of Pain Tolerance and Hard Target.

That 4/5 Specter's Grace (SG) is pretty 🤬🤬🤬🤬 powerful. 100% reduction every minute, equal effect to taking four hits with PT. If you're taking 4 hits a minute as Agi, you might be doing something wrong, imo :)

The better part of SG is the quality of life, you can play pretty recklessly and still only get hit once a minute. It's pretty 🤬🤬🤬🤬 good. Might be worth the 4 points alone, and the handgun stuff leading up to it isn't worthless either.
