The game only officially support up to 8 players. That isn't likely to ever change. If you were using a mod for it, you'll have to wait until it is updated for 2.0.
I swear I thought I read somewhere that you could add more than 8 to your party but only the first 8 added would show on the screen.
I do think there was a mod once thought that did allow it.
Might just be my brain fog.
