Will there be an experimental, or just v2 stable? Has anyone said anything about that? I’ve flipped through pages, but can’t see for squat atm. Thought I’d just ask

There's absolutely nothing mysterious about that. There's always a peak after a new release and it slowly decreases until a new release is made and then it peaks again. It's been like that for years if not for ever. The important part is that players always return and every release it peaks higher than the previous one.recently i have started to notice many players who stopped playing waiting for 2.0 release come back, after 8 months delay they must have been getting tired of waiting for it...
All the confusion and delays in the past months hurt server populations for sure but now with more clarity on whats going on people are starting to figure it out.

People can (and should) go and play other games between releases to avoid burnouts.
.There will always be a public experimental test prior to the stable release.
NOTE: Unstable Experimental is an opt-in test build for the purpose of testing out new features and reporting bugs on the client update. It IS NOT for stable long-term gameplay.
Yes, experimental is only on PC. Microsoft and Sony don't allow it on console from my understanding. Console will get the stable release after experimental is finished..
So this is for PC only then? XBox is kind of binary... either you play whatever xbox updates it too, or don't update it - but then again some xbox settings depending on the user, have their game updated automaticly so when they go home, all is ready to go...
so it was lead to console players that the release will be on april 15th for the new update... and then a delay happened which i guess shouldn't suprise me, but now to learn that experimental has to come first before the stable??Yes, experimental is only on PC. That is correct we won't get it until it's fully released. @firewalker101Yes, experimental is only on PC. Microsoft and Sony don't allow it on console from my understanding. Console will get the stable release after experimental is finished.
I wouldn't say it like that it's because Microsoft/Sony really don't have the opinion of a experimental build system unless the fun Pimps wanna do something like Sea of Thieves and make a experimental version to play during betasso it was lead to console players that the release will be on april 15th for the new update... and then a delay happened which i guess shouldn't suprise me, but now to learn that experimental has to come first before the stable??
Most experimental usually can be months in various scenarios to rule out bugs and crashes, etc before they slap "stable" on it. - so are console users now been delayed even more by perhaps half a year??
That date was always for experimental. The original goal was a stable release a month later, so May 15th. A delay happened, yes, but you misunderstood regardless. No one lead console players specifically to believe a certain date, you just didn't comprehend what was said.so it was lead to console players that the release will be on april 15th for the new update...
This isn't anything new. Experimental lasts anywhere from a couple weeks to a month or two, though usually on the lower end of that. It just depends how soon the bugs get worked out. Stable will be out to everyone at the same time (unless XBox for PC takes forever again). Console isn't any worse off than anyone else in that regard. Experimental is for testing the update and finding bugs. It isn't intended just to play the update sooner, regardless what some people use it for. And most PC players don't do experimental.so it was lead to console players that the release will be on april 15th for the new update... and then a delay happened which i guess shouldn't suprise me, but now to learn that experimental has to come first before the stable??

I forget which channel was doing that, where a group would hunt after the main person. I forget which channel was doing that. but you could really up the challenge for everyone by making it hoard every 3 days lol. could you imagine the horror of having to deal with people actively hunting you, while trying to survive a hoard night. oh and in 2.0 that would be incredibly tough. you'd want to rush getting your survival gear up and running fast, so you can get to those higher tier biomes for better loot.Like i said does pvp count when im hitting my brother with a club!!!!!
But for real I think 7 days to die could be a fun pvp game but maybe a 4v4 battle world together people survive both the zombies and each other.
I wouldn't mind watching like you tubers doing that
Mainly bug fixing. Like Frostclaw was rendering fur on clothing that didn't need it so was doing an extra 60 draw calls caused FPS drops on low end hardware. Now testing a fix for Frostclaw ranged attack projectile just falling to ground on clients.Hello @faatal,
Any hurdles or challenges in the latest features you've been working on? Or is it mostly things that needs a lot of hours on?
And let's not forget (I'm sure) the fact that you have such a long list of things to do for Update 2.0, right?
Anyway, keep up the great work and thank you.
Indeed. The current game I am playing is No Man's Sky. It has been over a year since I last played and has had 4+ major updates. I normally start a new game as I want to experience all the changes from scratch.Yup. It's basically Hello Games' entire business model with No Man's Sky and has netted them tens - dozens - of millions of dollars. Every time they release a new major update, players come flooding back and their sales numbers jump right back up. Even after 7 or 8 years! It's just wild.
Can't even say PC only anymore. It is Steam only.Yes, experimental is only on PC.
