its really not that oomplicated to understand.. most players who play pvp look for high population servers to play on. Im counting on the fact that since console will not have that alot of them will simply switch to pc like i did years ago. I first started out on this game myself on console but didnt take long at all for me to switch to pc so i could play on the higher population servers. All ready ive had people from console join our server who have went throught the same process and the console to dedicated patch isnt even out, So yeah i believe the sooner console to dedicated is releASED THE BETTER.I’m not sure why you are particularly excited for dedi support since any dedicated server a console player will be able to join will have to be strictly vanilla.

Sooooo. You are pushing for dedicated server support for consoles, not to have a bunch of people happy and being able to crossplay together, but you hope they will feel miserable and switch to pc gaming? Just so you hope they join your pvp server?its really not that oomplicated to understand.. most players who play pvp look for high population servers to play on. its not a matter of hope just about anyone who plays pvp prefers playing on bigger servers with more players to pvp agains so it basically comes down to a matter of time.Sooooo. Pushing an idea into a world that has its own goals and meaning is intruding. And you keep trying again and again.its not even about luck either,, the 2500+ pvp players we have had join our current, seed anything else from console is just a bonus.
Which storm, the one that brewing or the $%!^ storm in the forums?![]()

Not likely, no. It is possible, and I think TFP said they wanted to try and get at least that allowed, but the chances are low. My personal estimate is about a 30% chance that server side mods will be allowed for console. The storm that is approaching!
Wait, so Console players won't even be able to join servers that are using server side-only mods?

Server side mods are more likely to get approved by Sony and Microsoft, but those still require downloading changes to the game, which those companies don't really like when they aren't managed by the developer.Ah, I didn't know that was something that could be blocked. I have a friend who plays on XBox who wants to join our server (My other friends and I play on PC - friend doesn't have a computer) but we only use server side-only mods, so other players can join without having to download mods.
Unless they do it like ark or fallout and ether set up there own mod list or use a distributor. Not gonna happenServer side mods are more likely to get approved by Sony and Microsoft, but those still require downloading changes to the game, which those companies don't really like when they aren't managed by the developer.

Is that really the case? I mean, server side is just changes to XML. That should be a small download. And localization is just text, which is extremely fast to download and requires very few resources unless you're talking about a huge text file (opening a 10MB text file in Notepad would take a while, but that's more an issue with Notepad than the fact that it's 10MB of text). I suppose if you had 50 XML mods, it could potentially use enough extra resources to be a problem, but it would be easy enough to set some kind of limit on mod size or number of mods that are allowed to load when connecting to a server from a console. Just throw an error message - "Server has too many mods to connect to" or whatever - and then call it good. That lets console use servers with lower numbers of server side mods and there really shouldn't be a problem with that. If XBox S is maxing out all its resources as it is, then that's real problem and needs to be addressed regardless of the possibility of mod use.Another caveat is system resources.
The standard they will have to adhere to is the capabilities of the Series-S. Which basically has less than zero overhead just to run the game client. It does not have the extra RAM or CPU processing power to manage even a moderate load of server-side mods. Especially if they have a good bit of localization.
It's always microshaft and their bull@%$#, the series s is a joke in terms of specs it is hard to believe they think their system is so good to run modern games.
The way peer to peer works is that the host acts like the server for others to join. There is no true single player mode. Every time you play, others could join your game, unless you make your server invisible or require a password.Wait, so Console players won't even be able to join servers that are using server side-only mods?
