PC HP bars over zombies

Is there a way to make the zombies hp bars show up over their heads when we attack them and if there isn't, then I think that's something that should be added to the game. I don't know about everyone else but I do like knowing how much health my enemy has, especially the ones who take forever to kill

The console does not have access to mods or the developer options.

Please NO. It is just another load on CPU/GPU and ugly imersion breaking like floating damage numbers. Your experiance will tell you after a while if the zeds are dead or half dead after a certain ammount of hits.

@Dead Smarty and @SylenThunder

I'm thinking more along the lines of it being an option that we can turn on and off in our game settings, that could be added to the game, not something that would be on constantly. So someone that has issues with a weak CPU/GPU can have it turned off and it wouldn't affect their game play. Most zeds I can tell when they're about dead, but when I'm killing a red eyed wight zed, those would be nice knowing what their hp is like when I'm whittling it down. I run a melee/bow build with  a spiked steel club and usually can 1 shot most zeds.

It already exists in the game, but is only available either by modding the xml to enable it, or by using keys in the developer options. Both of these methods are blocked on consoles.

I wonder why they don't implement it into the game on consoles?

To be fair, it isn't really implemented on the PC version either.  It was a feature they considered adding, wrote the code and tested it internally for a bit, and then decided against it.

In a similar fashion, bandits have existed in the game client since Alpha 14.

Really, well can't wait to see bandits on the new version, that's going to make it so much more interesting, cause right now it's starting to become old fighting the same zombies all the time and doing the same thing all the time. On my PC account, I believe I started playing back when it was on alpha 13, but not 100% sure. Is there a way to look on Steam to see when i bought the game and started playing?

Well a rough idea of when i started playing on pc, i went to my first achievement and was dated march 20, 2019 lol

@SylenThunderSorry to dig up an old post but I just seen this.   Oh Mighty Sylen plz elaborate a little on these Bandits that aren't in the game!!!!!!   Do they use guns?   When they shoot do the bullets go where you are standing or where you will be?   Are they a lot smarter than the Z's?   details Details Details PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@NiteVIper

Do you still have access to the original download? Even if it is not active

if you did not mod all of the files, look at the date of any file in the config

folder, then go to 7 days to die version history, it will give you an idea of

the version it is from.

@Balun

Originally, guns yes. there was a mod with the vanilla one, now many of the

mods with npcs like i think wasteland may be based on them. They were

beyond accurate though. There have been some background additions to

make them ready when they are released, like taking cover. So if it comes

together like they want, they should be smarter, more dangerous because of

projectiles, and not just coming head on into the fight. I know I'm not

Sylenthunder and he could give more details, but here is a teaser.

@NiteVIper The pc version, since you said you go it from steam.

I went on steam after reading your post, so far I can't find any version

references for any of my games. If it is on console, if the console has

a manger that shows attributes, it should show the date created, the

date only changes if you mod a file. Unless if on console it was overwritten

as newer versions were downloaded, then you would have to look at the

date of your save file.

Oh, if you're talking about the hp bar idea. It was something that I was thinking about that could be implemented into the game. Something that could be turned on and off within our settings in game. If it's something else, sorry I have no idea, still working on my first cup of coffee lol

TFP did consider that at one point, which is why it even exists in the code.  They decided not to include it in the base game, but have left it as a feature that can be enabled via simple xml modding. (Not something available on the console.) It may also be able to be enabled via the debug mod options, but it's been a while since I was digging around in there. (Also something that the console does not have access to.)

Would be nice to have a debugging feature on console. But totally understandable why it doesn't

I need a good challenge lol
Have you tried insane difficulty with nightmare speed zombies all the time and feral sense on all the time, with one life?

There are settings in the game to help make the game harder for those like yourself that want to be challenged.

You can up this challenge even more by not equipping any armour.
