PC Muffled connector mods / stealth boots mod "obsolete"?

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm missing some perspective here, but ever since with the release of 1.0, I've yet to figure out a purpose for the aforementioned mods, and have completely ignored them as a result. They cannot be equipped to the rogue or assassin sets, rendering them, while not useless, far less coveted in my opinion. (Why stealth with other armour sets when you get all the bonuses from the former two, especially the assassin's set?) Or maybe I'm wrong, and everyone is running around with raider armor with advanced muffled connector mods installed and playing a sneaky shotgun build. 😛

Branching off from this, but I'd advocate for new types of armour mods at this point (ex. one to reduce chance of being lit on fire, another to reduce radiation damage chance, so forth), because looking at my various characters since 1.0's launch, their equipment has largely been very cookie cutter. Variety and tough choices are the spice of life, after all! :)

Noise reduction modifications are no longer installed on light armor, since it does not create noise. The same applies to stamina modifications. It seems that this was done so that there would be no bonuses to recovery. In A18, it was possible to achieve 120 percent stamina recovery in light armor, which the developers considered a mistake.

But why armor plates cannot be installed in heavy armor, I do not understand.

Certain combinations could allow users to achieve over 100% armor rating and make the player immune to damage from zombies
However, we get another problem. Medium armor with armor plates can have more armor than heavy armor without them. And medium armor has lower penalties.

Yeah, I don't think they rebalanced the medium armor much when they removed armor mods from heavy armor because of that immunity.  It could use some work.  Though I really see no noticeable difference between armor types even with the mods installed.  Maybe it is just that I usually avoid being hit.

That was something they changed a few builds ago. They felt heavy armor with plating mods made players too invincible, so they reduced the possible armor rating from heavy armor by removing the ability to use plating mods on them.

It wasn't that players were just too invincible... they literally couldn't be killed.  They had over 100% damage reduction.

Yes, that's what 'invincible' means. XD
If someone says "too" invincible, it usually indicates a different meaning.  The actual definition would be that you are either invincible or not, and can't be too invincible.  When you use too like that, it often is meant to indicate that you have too much resistance, but aren't entirely invincible.  Now, they may have just meant invincible, but in case they didn't, I cleared it up.

No see, it's like double invincible. Like playing guns as a kid!
