Back in a16.4, if you were near someone(like 4-5 blocks away I swear you could still be hit by friendly fire lol.

 
This being bumped reminded me that I did test it and no one on my server can heal each other, same as it's always been: Target another player, use the healing item and... it just applies it to you. Alternate-fire does nothing either.

I don't know how any of you heal each other. Seems impossible to me and anyone I've played with.

Just to double check - you have the first aid bandages or kit on your hotbar and equipped, are close to and facing your friend, and using the power attack button to try and heal them, right?

All of these. Power attack (aka alt fire) does nothing. Crosshairs on teammate, and close enough to be humping each other. And this is everyone I've ever played with in multi, about 6-7 players, IIRC.

Oh and everyone who's tried had at least one level of Physician.

I remember being told multiple times over the years that this is just a known bug and team healing never worked. Maybe that's changed since 1.0, but it seems there's still something funny going on.

Maybe it's a glitch. They're doing a big update. It might be affecting your server.
