PC Is it just me?

I don't move my base or build a second one. My random gens don't have mountains, cracks, or rivers. There's an option that lets you preview a random gin in high detail. I locate the corner where burnt and desert biomes meet and build my base located right at the corner near Rekt. Jen and Bob are usually less than 1 km away from my base.

When I graduate to the other biomes, I don't move my base. There's enough room in the mini bike  for me to do one or two missions and then I need to go back to the base to collect water from the dew collector and cook food , make glue, gas, or smelt ore. I'll start that up and then go back to the  other biomes and do some more missions. You can see where are the traders are in high detail, they are red dots.

not for all of us...sorry...just a reminder some of us need the base game to be better because we don't get to depend on modders to "fix"it

Well, that was a valid point some years ago. But now with the end of development in sight, you better hope they already planned to fix what you think needs fixing, With 2 new  projects already being in work there isn´t really much room for suggestions to be worked on.

Also i will never understand why you would not use mods and instead keep complaining when the solution is already there.

Can you use mods on console?  I think he is a console player.

Right.  He's on console.  No mods.  Which was the point he was making.  Though to be fair, for anyone not reading his other posts, it isn't clear that he is on console in what you quoted.

In general Sony want to stay in full control over the content in games. Bethesda was one of the first publishers to be allowed to do mods on PS but it is still very rare and not as open as mods for PC. Snail games took a different route an introduced paid mods and that 30% cut is an offer Sony can't refuse it seems, still there is a vetting proces to make sure it is all family friendly...

(Meanwhile fluff games like "Sex shop simulator" are offered under PEGI 12 in the PS store...)

Yeah i am not gonna follow peoples post to see what platform they use before answering to them. This is the 7 days to die PC General Discussion section.

So if someone posts something like this and a mod exists for his problem, i will tell them there is a mod.

Oh I get it, i wasn't expecting anyone too lol.

It's a side effect of the console section not having most forums that PC has, so most of them post here instead.  That also means fewer people are posting in the console section, which also means more post here instead.  Devs also mostly post in the PC section, which also means people post here.

We will continue to see a lot of console players posting here, which isn't a problem.  But it does mean people will suggest mods to people who can't use them.  That really isn't a big deal, but some console players get upset when someone suggests a mod that they can't use.  I don't see any reason to be upset since they know they are in the PC section and mods will always be recommended here.  Better to just reply that they are on console and can't use a mod and so would like X to be done in vanilla than to be upset that someone suggested a mod.  Of course, no one was upset about it in this thread... I'm just commenting on what's happened in other threads.

I would say that it is helpful if console players suggesting a feature or asking for something in vanilla would mention that they are on console or tag their post as console (assuming there is a console tag) so people replying know they are on console.  It just makes it easier to reply with relevant information instead of something that can't be used by the person because they are on console.  But we aren't likely to see any regular use of such things, so we just have to do the best we can.  :)
