multiplayer not working for me and my friend on PC

He is hosting a game himself and everyone else in our group is able to join except me. there are 4 of us in 4 different parts of the country. we are all playing the same version V1.2 (B27), its set to private with friends only. he sends an invite through steam and everybody accepts and joins just fine. But mine will say something about resolving multiplayer privileges, and then gets stuck at the screenshot permanently until I close the game. I feel like i'm going insane with how many times i've verified game files, reinstalled steam, reinstalled the game, re-imaged windows, disabled DNS, used google and cloudflare public DNS, uninstalled VPN and proxy, Reinstalled EAC, hosted With/Without EAC, opened 7dtd with EAC, opened Without EAC, opened The standalone Launcher, hosted my own game(the host was able to join but noone else), manually joining through ip and port, manually joining through steam, absolutely nothing work and i get the exact same problem. this weird blank screen. every single time. what is my issue.

Have you tried clearing out your user data? (make a backup)

It is in C:/Users/<your username>/AppData/Roaming/7DaysToDie

There is a warning in the logs about some bad data, and lots of failed file reads, right after it tries to get player permissions;

@FinkPloyd (I enjoy the pun in your name lol). Try resetting your clock. Sounds weird but there have been an increased number of players having time drift and it's causing authentication issues.  Click the Sync Now. If it doesn't work, I'm suspecting a time server somewhere might be having issues, so try manually setting it if not (or change timezones)
