Hacker in private server using admin commands

I'm playing on a private server. I know that the owner of the server has not selected anyone to be an admin, as he prefers to do everything himself with his servers. The server owner has been offline the last two weeks unexpectedly, and I suspect something bad has happened, but I digress.

A player entered the server ... on Dec. 12, 2024. I looked at the list of players to see if he was new or not ... That night, the server was griefed with the large smoke chimney block being spammed in 3 biomes, one of the locations had the stack going into Trader Jen's protected zone. The alleged hacker was on the following day Jan. 1, 2025, and was caught stealing from another player's base. When I called him out on it, he reset the chunk that my base was built on, despite me having a claim block in place, which reset the chunk back to it's original generation and removed my base without a trace.

Video of the smoke griefing:

Attaching pictures as well of another location, and the aftermath of it being removed.

As I'm not an admin, I don't know how to handle this. I reported the player in game and on steam, but he's still molesting the server and chasing players out. I don't know what to do. If nothing is done, the server will be dead an abandoned when the owner returns from whatever is going on in his life, and he's worked hard to build up a population on the server.

The server only has 1 mod, which adds a vertical version of the crawler, known as the wraith. Everything else is vanilla.
Server IP: 63.143.56.34:16244
Game Version: 1.2 (b27)
Crossplay Enabled: Off
Region: North America - East

He literally deleted Trader Bob's location. Bob is still there, but I had to turn my graphics to their lowest setting to even get close.

Just to be sure, I am not speaking for TFP.

I would suggest telling the other legit players on the server that once the owner of the server is back he will likely reload a backup savegame from a time before the hacker got on and they should simply check from time to time until that happens. And until that happens you are at the mercy of that hacker and it is (in my opinion) useless continuing on that server as the hackers only intention is to make everyone miserable and anything you build will likely be destroyed again.

Sorry to learn you’re dealing with a griefer. Hopefully the server owner returns to deal with it.

You were right to report the user. That’s about all you can do without an admin. Since servers are administered by third parties, rather than the developers, it’s the former that are in a position to take action against malicious actors.

I had to remove the alleged hacker’s name from your post, due to our Naming & Shaming policy. Since the forum moderators here are unable to investigate what did or didn’t happen outside the forum, posts must not advance damage to a person (or server’s) reputation in the community.

That's my bad for not reading the policies all the way through. My apologies, won't happen again.

I agree. I dug myself into bedrock and sealed myself in the hole, just to be in a safe place when I log into check. If he somehow finds my location and resets the chunk, I'll be underground. lol

So when I report a player in game on a 3rd party server, does that report go to the 3rd party or? Is there any way to find out who is hosting the server, without asking the owner?

According to Battlemetrics, this server is most likely hosted at BlueFangSolutions:

(same IP, but different port)
