Claim Block (feature for friends and allies)

If this is a closed server for friends, then there is no point in claim blocks at all. The block is only put if it is necessary to move some workstation, after which it is deleted.
The claim block gives durability to all blocks in the zone. (everything in the zone from the very bottom of the map to the very top). The durability from the claim block is set by the number xX. Also, zombies do not appear in this zone, only those from outside the zone. The player's damage to blocks in the zone and the zombie's damage to blocks in the zone are set separately. Well, the movement of things in the zone is also done by the owner of the block.

Depends on the settings.

I built horde bases with and without block, no difference. Riamus has the same gaming experience. The only difference will be if in the game settings you set "damage to player blocks" below 100%. Since a block in the claim zone is considered a player block, and outside this zone a regular block.

As for zombie spawning, I never build a base in a city. The chance that a zombie will appear in your base outside of a city is very low, and the bed also blocks the appearance.

The bedroll area is much smaller than the claim block area.  Unfortunately, it doesn't block horde night spawns, so you still can't really have grass inside your base.
