1.2 Server Files

It's already available but I haven't set up a server in a looooong time so someone else will have to help you on that part.

I'm not getting any new files with the following:

steamcmd +force_install_dir C:\Games\7dtd +login anonymous +app_update 294420 validate +quit

Did they change the appID of the newer server files?

I have never used the steamcmd to setup a server. On my spare computer that I used as a home server I always logged into steam and in the tools tab just downloaded the server files that way.

Here is where I selected the tools.

It would be great to have some response on the dev's from this as clients have to roll back to 1.1 to play on the server because steamcmd is still insisting there's no updates.  Given the Steam GUI (meaning using the process shown above) has the same App ID, I have to assume that would result in the same situation.

I figured out the issue. For some stupid reason, you're now required to login to steam to download the server files. You cant use +login anonymous. This is dumb.

Oh I hadn't realized 7 Days was caught up in that.  Steam has been doing that to a LOT of the tools over the past week or so.

Specifically, SteamCMD would "succeed" to validate the 1.1 server files. It wasnt until I deleted them all and forced re-download that SteamCMD produced the subscription required error. After I logged in using my steam account, it started to download them all again.

At the moment, I do NOT know if I'm getting 1.2 or just another copy of 1.1

So... How did you make out?  I am going to give this a try when I get home. Thanks for the tip about the login!
