Hey thanks for ignoring the rest of it.
Are you actually in the know? or is that the version TFP have put out so you believe it? Because their estimates have been wrong about the timeline of events before. That has been the TFP way. I dared to respectfully ask about console during the devs streams and got silenced and blocked. People regularly have comments deleted off their social media.
That information is available here in this forum, I had contacts in TellTale, and I am familiar with the rules of Sony and Microsoft's stores. If you bothered to do a little bit of research into actual facts, and apply common sense, you could be aware of this as well.
Fact 1. TellTale Games released their port as a
finished product.
Fact 2. Sony and Microsoft have hard set rules about breaking existing saves with game updates. Basically, if you release a game as something other than Alpha/Beta/Preview, then updates
must be compatible with the saves from before the update.
Fact 3. TellTale Games' port was based off of Alpha 14.7. Since it was released as a finished title, that meant that it could never get any of the progression, skill, or world updates from future versions.
Because of this, at best, the old TellTale Games release could only get some tidbits and features of any future PC builds and maybe some optimization. The update that was in final testing and roughly three weeks from release when TellTale went bankrupt would have brought some small amount of content from Alpha 16, and was going to have a good number of bug fixes and optimization. Namely a final end to the MD5 issue on Xbox consoles. I was very disappointed that TellTale could not even pay Iron Galaxy enough to finish and release that before they fell to pieces. However the writing was apparently on the wall long before their collapse, they just kept painting over it so no one saw the graffiti.
And honestly, everything I just typed out,
ALREADY EXISTS right here in this forum. You can also read a good bit of it in the developer information pages for each console store, and from a large number of news and information sites. You just refuse to see it.
