I don't know what it is with most people here in these forums that think new player means this is someone's first ever video game or that a new player is some brain dead fool who can't look up things with the internet but the amount of disrespect towards new players is insane. These aren't the dark ages of the 90s the only source for game info was if your friend played the game or hoping a gaming magazine covered it.
Most new players have seen youtubers or others on twitch playing this game so its not like they don't have some kind of grasp on how this game works or have played other similar games like minecraft, Valheim, Terraria, project zomboid, skyrim, etc.
Even when I started playing this in alpha 16 the game wasn't difficult to understand as far as that I had to craft or use weapons to get better at those thkngs, the trader sells stuff, you sell items to buy things from trader. The only difficult part was my first horde night and having a proper base setup but after that the day 14 horde and beyond weren't an issue when it came to understanding the games basic mechanics as far as horde night, combat, skills, how difficulty scales and trader system goes.
When they completely changed the entire games trader and skill tree system it wasn't difficult to grasp either since I played others games which more or less had similar systems. Many of which other people have played.
I don't understand how folks here think new players to this game are that brain dead or terrible at games. Maybe it's just these people projecting their experience onto new players but this game isn't gregtech levels of complex or dark souls levels of difficult.
Now if folks don't want to learn how a games mechanics or system works but then they want to complain about the game that's a them issue. For example I hate the system and don't understand it much and refuse to learn it because i think screamer spawns are stupid so that's a me issue but folks sure as hell defend it without thinking of new players and the problem they will face from such a complex mechanic that has little to no explanation.
