Drone, missing in action?

Hi Folks,

Does anyone know how to find your MIA drone? 

Busy doing a mission and notice the drone has gone! Its icon is missing from the HUD/Compass, and if I create another it says you've exceeded your number of drones! 

I returned to the places where it was last spotted (base & trader) but it's at neither. Even a game restart doesn't help.

Just wondering, if anyone has experience or an idea of how to resolve this?

When you first connect to the game, you will have a list of where all the drones are located.  You can find this in your log or by pressing F1 to open the console and look for it there.  If your drone has actual coordinates, you can go there and you will find it.  If the coordinates are just NaN, NaN, NaN, then it is lost for good.  If it is lost for good, open the console and type:

jd clear

and hit enter to remove your ownership of the drone.  You can then place a new drone.  If you would prefer to delete the drone entirely from your game, you can go into your saves folder and delete the two drone files, though that usually isn't necessary.

thanks for the info, it did give a location but it was  Nan Nan Nan, so I ran the command you suggested and this has cleared the issue and I'm using another.
