Has anyone found a workaround for the lack of voice on dedicated servers?

The microphone lights up like you're talking, but no one can hear anyone else. I saw that it's a known issue, but was wondering if maybe someone had found a configuration thing or something to get it working while we wait for the next patch.

We use Steam voip....works great and is free and you download nothing.
