The Freehold Mods

Most likely you will need to build a new auger, burning shaft, or both.

If you add a mod to an existing game, items and blocks that have already been spawned/created are (generally) not affected.

You should just need to make a new auger, as Red said existing items are not retroactively modified by the game when you change their xml details.  I only changed the auger and chainsaw xml details, not the burning shaft details.

So I have this installed, I just built a new Auger, and I still can't put the Burning Shaft Mod in.?
Do you have any other mods installed that make changes to the auger or chainsaw?

Could you make a reduce heatmap mod for weapons and tools. Ex. all guns, auger & chainsaw? maybe harvesting poi resource piles as well? I cant explore a single poi without having screamers spawn

If I find some time, I can probably do that.  All of the things you mentioned are in the sounds.xml.

Edit - Just any FYI there are 248 different sounds that when triggered add to the heat map, so keep that in mind please.

I have a working mod that reduces all the sound heatmap values and the times they stay active.  I am working on a more targeted sound heatmap reduction mod, that will only reduce the heatmap and time values of weapons and explosions, but leave all other sound heatmap values unchanged.

I've requested the mod page be updated with the new files and description, so hopefully they will be available on 7daystodiemods shortly.  In the meantime, they are live on NexusMods.

Hello, I'm downloading the 'Reduced Heatmap' mod on '7daystodiemods', and there isn't a installation instruction there. The .rar file has a 'Config' folder and 'modinfo.xml' file. Do I place both of those in my 'Mods' folder for my server and clients? Or is there another location for those?
Also, do I create a folder called "Reduced Heatmap" to place both the 'config' folder and ' XML' in first before placing it within the 'mods' folder (if thats the correct location)?
Thank you.

Yes, they need to be in a folder inside the mods folder.  The folder doesn't have to be named Reduced Heatmap.

I have the Wizard Tower mod on a A21.1 b16 multiplayer server I'm running and we can only see it a certain distance and even then some of it disappears, then as we approach it it completely goes away, please help, it works fine on my pc in single player

Thnx

i saw the new 44 magnum thompson mod, wanted to use it but got confused which version to use as tier 6 is available by default in 1.0

decided to check the xml to see whats going on,

from what i can tell retail version is the one for 1.0,
and
i dont work with xml much, much less for modding 7 days, but
<display_entry item="ThompsonSMG" unlock_level="75,80,85,80,95,100" />
is this a little wonky? not sure what it does so just wanted to find out, why is 80 repeated after 85, feels like it should be 90, the sequence looks like the books count when the recipie is unlocked

Most likely the second 80 is a typo.  In game, it would mean that both level 2 and 4 are being shown as unlockable at crafting skill 80.  However that is only for the ui interface so the actual unlock may be 80 and 90 for those two quality levels

Asim, the tier six crafting file is for Alpha 20 and Alpha 21, if you are using a mod that allows you to craft tier six items.  Some miscommunication happened when I asked the staff to update the files.  I had meant for them to add the a third file for V1.0 not replace the Vanilla Crafting file.  I had to update it because my modinfo.xml file was still written in legacy format.

BFT2020 is correct, that was a type, it has been corrected.
