They're not dead they're suffering from a horrible disease. Perhaps a vaccine could be created like in Fallout 4 where you turned that super mutant back into a guy.

I only did that to get Curie's jeans off.

I can confirm this has happened with a chicken. Was purposely trying to kill it with my bicycle and was running over it repeatedly and then it got stuck to the bike itself.

Did you manage to kill the chicken? I'd like to be able to kill Z's that way but that's an awful thing to say.
