Darkness Falls: They mostly come out at night...

Alpha 20.3 DF 4.01 - Dedicated server using RWG we can't complete the "The Reward" quest from the Seasoned Survivor. It says "NO TRADER" Any ideas?
The problem is that your RWG world didn't spawn a DF bunker, thus that mission will always be impossible to complete. If you are going to use RWG, I suggest enabling the debug mode (DM in the F1 console) first in SP w/ the newly created world and hitting escape, then searching the POI's for bunker, lab, Razor, Eve, and Anna. If DF bunker and DF lab and/or any of those names don't pop up, reroll your map with another seed, otherwise you'll have problems like this again.

but remember that wandering hordes may not spawn if you're very mobile.
Latest build, i just headed to a mission point for a scout quest, and needed to clear a horde before i even think to activate the mission.

If you didn't changed anything at the dev. build they spawn fast enough ! 🙂

Thanks guys! I have searched my prefabs.xml file for my world and can see all but DFalls_Military_Bunker are present...
Is there any way to manually add this POI to my world? Or even start a new world but keep our progression and inventory?

Also is there any way - if starting a new world; to make sure the POI's are present apart from "rolling the dice" so to speak with RWG multiple times until finding a world with all of the required POI's?

I have myself and a few other players on my server, we are past gamestage 200 and would rather not lose our progress but also realise we can not really progress any higher unless we have this quest available...

Hoping for a solution but knowing my luck we'll have to restart over again... :(
 

 
 It's set to 24hrs but remember that wandering hordes may not spawn if you're very mobile. They tend to only spawn when you're in 1 place for a long period of time.

Depends on your difficulty settings. Higher difficulty = greater chance of infection.

Weapons, probably not. Posters and such should be fine.
Hmm strange. We didn’t adjust any difficulty settings. I’ll dig around in the configs. But day 53 and we’ve but but PLENTY of times (200 deaths between us) and zero infections.

Thank you for the suggestion but I found a way to resolve this without regenerating my world - see below if interested :)

This was helpful in identifying which POI's I needed to get added to my world - thanks!

I was only missing DFalls_Military_Bunker in my world and have managed to add it to my world without regenerating the entire map - see below if interested :)

On a random map it allways can happen that one of these specific POI don't get added.

Unfotunately most tutorials are out of date (I already seen the link you provided just before you posted it 😁) and only work on Alpha 19 or below because the Prefab menu was removed (usually you'd access this by pressing Z then K while in debug mode)

I have however found an updated tutorial for Alpha 20 which allowed me to add the POI to my existing world (YouTube: 7 Days To Die Alpha 20: How to Add, Remove or Replace POI's)
A few extra steps for me as I had to copy the world files to my PC to be able to edit them in-game and then had to copy the files back to the server once finished.

Steps I had to take:

1) Copy the world files from the server to my PC  running the game.

2) Open the game and select Editing Tools - World Editor

3) Select my world that I copied from the server

4) Placed the POI in my world, saved it and exited the world editor

5) Delete the chunk which the POI was placed in to allow the server to refresh that chunk on startup

6) Copy the world back to the server

I have since tried to start "The Reward" quest again and this time it has not cancelled itself and the waypoint is in the exact location where I placed the POI in the world with the tutorial above.

Happy our server didn't have to wipe again!

I have 2 farm plot recipes, is there any advantage to crafting farm plot blocks with fertilizer or is it simply old way vs new way?

As I understand it, both farm plots will be identical in growing behaviour - it's just an alternate path to make it.

That's what I thought, they both craft to the same stack so they have to be the same item, just wanted to confirm my findings because I had been told it was different.

 
Off-road headlights mod does not work in the humvee, nor does it's default headlights (if they are supposed to work, that is). Love the model design, though. And it's quieter and handles better then the maruader.

Don't suppose it's possible to tone-down the noise generated by the wall safes? Think they are a superior storage option, but good god do they make a racket. By the noise, you'd think i was opening up a semi-rusty set of bank-vault doors every time i open/close them. (And yes i'm aware of the perk in hunter that reduces player-action noise levels, but still think the safe's need to be far quieter then they currently are)

I tried this mod and I absolutely love it! I will never ever go back to the vanilla 7d2d, as this is miles ahead in terms of gameplay. 

I have a few questions though: 

Vehicles: I have 4x4 which has reduced cargo space and improved speed. I've unlocked mechanic mastery (the book dropped), so I wanted to ask - what's the best vehicle that I can craft in terms of storage that isn't slow? (I am willing to ride a vehicle slower than 4x4)

Also, I've started to craft lvl 71 weapons, but sadly, I can't modify them. Is this a bug or am I missing something? 

Also, while we are at mastery books - should I craft them or wait for them to drop? 

I know these are all noobish questions, but I would really appreciate it if someone would take the time to guide me through.

This error started popping up a lot when I reached the desert biome. Is this related to Darkness falls and if so, is there anyway to fix it? Thanks!

To add to this.. I'm on alpha 20.3 (b3) and using Darkness falls V4.01.

Other mods I have installed are OcbStopFuelWaste, InstantCrafting6.0, Jerseys-Better-Z-Range and More Skill Points (2 per level).

Largest storage vehicle is the box truck. It's slow, but it's 120 slot.

Sounds like you might be missing something. I've been able to modify 71 weapons/tools/etc.

Up to you on the mastery books. Traders can teach you mastery too as well at 30 rep and if you have 100k dukes.

I'd remove all your modlets, see if the error still occurs and then post a log if it still does. I can't do anything if you've modded the overhaul and just post screenshots.

 
Hi, i am having trouble with the reward quest from EVE. when i first attempted it i had to leave the area because i got over run. this obviousely ended the quest. so i went back to EVE accepted the quest again went back to the bunker i had the yellow icon. i pressed e to start the quest, the icon dissappeared it said locate supplies 0.0 meters. and the bunker did not reset. i cleared the bunker out searched it completely but no white river supplies. i have tried resetting a further 2 times. but it will not reset. Is there anything i can do to complete this quest ?

 
help!!! I'm trying to update my game. I've just wiped my server to start again but now I'm getting a version conflict. If I launch 7D2D through steam I have 20.3 but if I launch through the mod launcher to play darkness falls I have 20.2 and it wont let me into my server, how do I update through the launcher so I can play? I've hit the check for update button on the launcher but nothing happens. I've also tried presyncing.
The error I get when I try to join my server is "game version mismatch: you have "alpha 20.2 and the server has alpha 20.3"

update: issue solved. deleted mod reinstalled using "copy from existing".

I am able to click on modify, but I can't add any mods, and the mod list on the left is not there. I can provide a screenshot if you want.

I assume you are talking about weapons other than the pipe weaponry, as those cannot be modified. Do you have other modlets installed? If so, they could be causing a conflict.

 
New to mod, Love it..

Trivial stuff noticed only so far :

Working Stiff Vans loot two engines.

New vehicles, all floating.

Not all zombies leave gore skeleton behind, that on purpose ?

(No other mods used)
