Reduce Trees (especially Wasteland) Biome - biomes.xml seems not working.

Hello there,

I am reducing the trees in the Wasteland and used the biomes.xml files for that. But in A20 it seems not working anymore.

I reduced the trees - nothing changed. Then I removed the trees with a mod (which was for A19 but there were no errors) and: nothing happened either. I really dont understand whats the problem and ask for your help. I could reduce the trees in A19 without any problems but in A20 its not working for me anymore.

Just a quick theory but are you generating a new world as if the world is already generated those trees are unlikely to be just removed because of the XML file?

I'd try generating a world with and without the XML file and compare the differences.

Yes I did that today and it worked. I thought in A19 you could change it during your actual play, but I dont know it correctly.

So you need to change the xml files and generate a new map.

Only joined the modding scene with the release of A20 myself but I would be surprised if currently existing assets were affected, it would make sense that (unfortunately) you will need to create a new world for those changes to take effect as my assumption is the density of trees is affected during the generation of the map, so this mod would likely not work at all on Navezgane since it's a pre-built map for example similarly with any pre-existing maps, the mod needs to be in place during the generation of the world for it to have an effect :)  Glad it's all working though.
