PC Blood Moon Horde...Respawn on Leaving?

So far, I'm really enjoying the changes in A20.  Having the zombies crawl under and over areas definitely challenges some horde base designs for certain.   I'm not sure if the following is intended behavior or a bug though.

On day 7, first Blood Moon, I survived the horde at my horde base and they stopped spawning around 12:30 AM.  I spent the next 2 hours at my home base organizing my stash and then logged out.  It was roughly 2:45 AM.  When I logged back in, the Blood Moon horde respawned in full force and were at my front door before I could do anything.  Is this by design?  During early Blood Moons, can I finish the horde, log out, log back in and get a new horde spawned for extra XP?  Doesn't seem right.

That has been the case for many alphas so far. As far back as A15, this was the case, and it definitely happened in A19 - I'd log out and back in to respawn the horde for XP farming!

The wife and I were playing last night and ran our first a20 blood moon and we noticed that after we killed 16 zed's, the blood moon was over.

Is this a new change, or did they fix a bug from previous versions?

16 is an awfully low number.

Not sure if by design but its been like this for a long time. Never ever log out until it hits 4:00am and the horde is officially "Over" even if the zombies stop much earlier. Its a pain I know, but make sure to always dedicate enough time to properly finish horde night.

Yeah, I set my morning time to 8 a.m. and enjoying 2 hordes a night.

Each horde brings ~300-400 kills which equals to 300 - 800k XP/night.

There's no way you can get so much XP by mining/building.

I just wish hordes would go on all night after day 21 no matter how many you killed. In MP we still manage to end it early at day 42.

No it's still a bug from previous alphas that has not been fixed.

Shocker, I know.

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!

I think it's for MP, so people who log on during a horde can still get some horde action. You know, the MP that the devs hate so much.
