PC Please REMOVE the Strip Club POI

So this is going to going to be controversial, but shouldn't be. There is currently a couple of POI's that are of concern, but the Strip Club is the biggy. I've been considering this post for some time but on seeing some of the A20 previews it seems like they are making more variations on this POI and therefore time to step up.

Note, I am the father of young women who love this kind of game. But I dont feel comfortable with the mysoginistic imagery of the Strip Club. Corpes of women in cages exaserbate the impact of a place that is all about objectification of women.

A test for this sort of thing, in my mind, is to consider if the game was designed by women would the POI have made it in. Fairly sure it wouldn't.

I do sense that TFP's do have some awareness of the issue. Female characters are getting better outfits; Stripper has actual clothes, nurse getting a typical gender neutral outfit rather have some cliche from the 50's (although every female character now has very large breasts which is also a real image issue for women). 

Please consider this feedback seriously. While the expectation is that the games market is male why put up barriers to females. More players equals more sales and a better community.

Stop being a snowflake, is all I have to say. Also, Women can be just as pervy as men can be you'd be surprized at the amount of 18+ content that has a woman behind it. If you dislike them mod them out its very easy to do with a text editor, I suggest Notepad++ its free. Otherwise, deal with it, its a videogame not real life. So tired of people who have to complain about stuff like this, its not that bad, and if it hurts your feels that badly, you can mod it out, but why should the devs have to cater to prudes that lack a open mind? Get over yourself.

The compopack of poi's that is made by a variety of people has a "sextoy rental store" poi in it, its actually rather funny inside it, the creator got very creative with that. I've only been in it once myself, a lot of the compopack poi's are extremly well done.

What if we push for equality like many feminists demand. Male strippers. Does that fix it? I am meaning it as an honest question because I don't know where this ends. I find many things offensive in this world but I dont make them the focus of my life, particularly in games. Have you asked your daughters if they would feel awkward if such a thing were in the game. You might be surprised by their answer. Maybe you already asked them. Im just tossing out ideas.

I think the bondage of women through forced normatives and stereotypes of sexual perversion by humans expressing themselves as sexual beings is closer to a dogma or trope of catholic teachings or religious based zealotry. Maybe that is how you command your house hold, I dunno. Not trying to judge.

From my own experiences, the women with the most controlling parents were the most 'experimental' so be careful you are not just pushing them towards what you feel you must protect them from. Transparent open conversations can have a longer lasting effect with a growing bond between you both.

What if your daughter said she wants a sex change and seeing women as sexual beings was actually a turn on for them? Again, I have no idea and that is not my business which is why I have to recommend this topic should be semi off limits as you dragged your daughters in to the reasoning behind it.

A better argument would have been the progress and theme of such a POI to be added when some are still lacking or missing from the game such as an airport, train stations, subways, bus stops, and smaller stuff like fire hydrants and atmospheric elements.

That said, mods can cover this in both directions as in adding it or removing it. Some of the POI have basic letter across the front and a theme, not much more to it.

If this worries you, I would kind of hope the gratuitous violence at times would be more troubling as parts go flying. A20 is going to be even more spectacular in its limb loss and death animations. This is my own personal take but I would be far more concerned with the desensitization around killing things in violent ways vs poi with words on the front implying a sex trade that existed at one time before everything was wiped out in this world. Also I highly doubt anyone was thinking about making out with the zombies anytime soon

I wonder if a future update could include a "PG" rating checkbox in the initial setup of the game world.  If unchecked (or a mature rating chosen in the drop down, whatever) it would enable all the raunchy POI's and bring back all the old models for the stripper zeds and maybe add some more.  Not sure if the programming gang wants to add yet another setting into the game though.
