Currently, if you are using RWG (Random World Generation) all poi are totally random.
If you are using pregen or Navsgane, they are always in the same place.
In A20, they are adding districting where houses will be 'together' inudstry, in its own area and commerce in its own area when designing cities- but in current form, the aforementioned is the only way besides sheer dumb luck- HOWEVER, I do know those types of PoI tend to spawn more often in "towns" (very small 'cities') and in wasteland/burnt forest tends to have a few more than green biomes.

I think that house is a T2 or T3 poi (So traders might send you there for a quest)

Ok thanks. It's kind of what I thought but I wanted to ask. I know the game has a lot of little secrets buried deep lol

It's weird. I run across some POI's over and over again but the one i want to play in never seems to be anywhere.

These are the days of our lives.
xD
I have a list of top 5 favorite poi for low/high levels and just use whatever is handy. Last playthru I setup shop in a semi-truck container for the first week. lmao. xD

That's actually quite funny.

Too bad you couldn't hook that sucker up to a semi and drive it around

If you know the name of the POI, you can look in the prefabs file in the 7D2D world folder and get the coordinates for each one on the map.

I do not know the name of it.

Is there a library of the POI's somewhere that you know of?

I was looking for one and I failed.

I encounter that POI alot while doing trader quests, i think tier 3.

I never notice any special at that POI, just a regular residental house.

Not like the tier 4 one, with the underground mine/lab and rather big bibliothek.

The name of the poi is house_old-mansard_03. It can easily be found by searching through all the jpg's in Data/Prefabs

Now you just need follow BFT2020's advice and look for that name in your worlds prefabs.xml to get the coordinates.

Couple ways for getting the name of a POI:

- go dm mode (F1 - dm) while at the POI, press F3, the data windows shown will include the name at the "Biome" field..

- there's a set of thumbnails of POIs at: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/7 Days To Die/Data/Prefabs (or the windows equivalent) - I took a glance, but couldn't find that one quickly.

EDIT - add:

The name of the poi is house_old-mansard_03.
Darn it, yes it is.. :)   The lighting was so different that it didn't look the same.

You could invoke the Level/Prefab Editor and look through all the POIs installed. Once the tool loads, hit ESC, select the "Prefab Browser" tab in the upper right corner, and there you can scroll through the list of POIs, look at their thumbnails, and load them up to take a look.

That said, I looked through the list twice and didn't see it. (Sigh) I'm sure its there somewhere. I'd need to look harder.
