Hello. Rubber bands are great. If you can't get one rep done, just pick a band that will offer enough support so that you can. Then, you can adjust the support from the band by how far you extend your leg. The more you have to work yourself, the better of course. Keep the reps heavy and few to gain some strength.

Use a building you clear as your base for the first few nights, possibly even through your first blood moon (day 7 if you use default settings).

When I start a new game I finish the starter quests ASAP and, regardless of what attribute i plan to build i always put a point into each of "iron gut", "healing factor" and "rule 1: cardio." food is scarce early on and investing into "iron gut" reduces food consumption basically any time you're using stamina, which is almost always. Stamina can really hold you back early in the game and also you're going to spend a lot of time running early in the game so "rule 1: cardio" is a great early game skill. Healing factor is because i'm not always perfect in combat and healing items and food are scarce early on. The fourth point can go towards something you're specializing in or other high-value general game skills like maser chef, advanced engineering or daring adventurer.
After completing the starter quests head toward the trader, but keep an eye out for cotton. stop and harvest (punch or hit with a weapon) some. craft it into cloth and then into bandages, 10 of them and put them on your hotbar somewhere to use if you happen to get hit and start bleeding. Goldenrod and Chrysanthemum flowers are good to collect if you put a point into master chef, if not then you can probably ignore them until later. I highly recommend stopping and chopping down any stumps you see as they have a chance to yield honey, which can cure infections. You can loot stuff like trash piles along the way, but don't let your inventory fill up to the point you become encumbered because it'll slow down your movement speed. A cooking pot or grill will be required for any cooking you want to do so make sure to hold on to them if you find them.
Once you've reached the trader you'll need to find/ build shelter. For your first time I'd recommend finding a small house nearby and clearing it out then putting down your sleeping bag and a chest for any loot you've collected so far. Optionally you can fortify your base with wood spikes if you want to (and have enough wood) or barbed wire.
If there's still time before night grab a quest from the trader prioritizing something close and buried supplies, which usually has food and food recipes. Allot yourself a few hours for buried supplies quest, if you can't finish before night then just loot nearby buildings instead or chop trees/rocks until 21:00 then head for your base and do the quest the next morning.
During the night take a look at the skill/perk system and decide what line you want to specialize in.

If he is in the forest biome, set up your first base very close to him, but not exactly beneath him, so his safezone doesn't interfere with your base. Just take over a POI about 100m away from him. Do buried supply quests in the first few days, if the trader has some and they are less than 500m away. Don't waste your (initial scarce food) on mining in the first few nights. Either clear a nearby house before the night and loot it in the night (while stealthing), or use the night to read talents and tooltips.
Everything from there is subject to your liking. Do whatever you have fun doing, but keep a close look on your food. Also don't forget to have a save place for the first bloodmoon. If anything else fails, just go on the roof of a building (I wouldn't recommend your base, if it isn't somewhat safe) and remove all stairs and ladders so the zombies won't reach you.
As a general advice: Always carry at least first aid bandages with you and an always loaded gun/ak/pump/... in case the @%$# hits the fan. And running is always an option, just look where you are going, there are mines in the game.
The two things I didn't figure out myself until I was three weeks into the game: a) There are 4 workstations you can build (or find in some buildings) after reading the blueprints or chosing the respective perk that allow you to build more stuff. You can also buy them at the trader sometimes. b) You can disassemble stuff (like cars) with a wrench and thus get materials you wouldn't get with an axe or pickaxe. The best container to find wrenches in are sinks (mostly found in kitchens and some bathrooms). Since you also get a cooking pot in kitchens and need at least one, looting kitchens is an advisable activity in the early days.
Everything from there is subject to your liking. Do whatever you have fun doing, but keep a close look on your food. Also don't forget to have a save place for the first bloodmoon. Or...as others have suggested: 1. Don't be afraid to run in the beginning. The deck is stacked against you on purpose. In the beginning, the struggle is real. Take over a small house with a set of stairs you can take out or similar. Go on quests from traders to get good rewards. Determine your play style and invest your skill points in those categories.

The initial quests have you craft and place a bedroll. You start out with a big grey claim block in your inventory.
- Both are easy to make more of. The bedroll is so if you die you can choose to respawn on/near it. Read up up on their specific features/uses. In the vanilla game you can only have 1 (or each) placed at a time. If you place one of these (like the bedroll), then place a second one (another bedroll), the initial one you placed will deactivate (but still be there). So you can't just go around throwing down bedrolls/claim blocks, you get 1 (of each) active at any one time, so chose their locations wisely. Some online servers change this to allow a few more claim blocks to be placed (it will be in their custom rules).
- There is a "map" in the game you can bring up at any time. Learn how to place/remove markers on the map, choose/change "active quests", etc. I found this mechanic a little confusing when I first started so I didn't use it for a long time.
- There are some keyboard shortcuts. The only one I use all the time is the one for "take all" when I have opened a loot container. There are little buttons in the UI that do this as well (move all from backpack, move all from open container). Learning to use either of these will save you a LOT of mouse point-click-drag.

watch a youtuber by the anme of grandspartan he will give you all the help and tips you need. I mean he saved me from quitting 7days quite a few times
@janeking12: Seriously, don't watch any youtuber. This will just show you how the game is ideally played and you will never have the pleasure of finding things out for yourself. If you have specific problems you can always ask here or on steam or even a streamer on youtube, but watching others how to play it destroys all the fun parts.watch a youtuber by the anme of grandspartan he will give you all the help and tips you need. I mean he saved me from quitting 7days quite a few times
Except if you are easily frustrated, then watching a youtuber might make sense.

Find what you like to do and do it. There is no wrong way or right way to play this game, just play it the way you want to.
Try different things. If you are always using a club as a melee weapon, try something else like the knife.
Everyone has their opinion on how to play. Everyone's opinion is correct, to them.
Decide on when you want to spend your perk points. I choose to do them at night during downtime and based on what I think I need. On some playthroughs, I take the Hunter perk right away to track small animals. My current playthrough I haven't gotten it yet and I am at Day 14 (and have a stack of meat in storage).
Note how you will play depends on if you are playing SP or MP.
Your choices matter. Everything has a cost and benefit.
Adjust the difficulty settings to how you want to play and your enjoyment - the Zombies could care less if you play at the easiest settings or perma-death everything extreme.
But most of all, have fun. Been playing this game since around A14 or A15 (have to check when I purchased it). 2000 hours later, I am still playing this game as much as I did the first time I loaded up a game.

My top tips for beginners are:
- Complete the initial quests
- Clear a small POI next to the trader and set up your base there (you should live there for the first few weeks)
- Complete as many quests as possible (it is the best way to level up and get good gear)
- Set up a separate blood-moon-only base. Never use your main base during horde night.

Another good way to level up is build wood frames, upgrade them twice with wood, and one time with cobblestone (stones plus clay to make). It's a lot of experience and you can later turn it into concrete and then reinforced concrete once you get to that point.
Oddly enough in this game, if you increase you experience multiplier (maxes at 300%) the game actually gets harder faster even though you're leveling faster. Just saying this for you to be aware of that setting not likely working the way you think it will.

Heh, sorry, I guess. I was half-expecting the OP to be editing some links in shortly.. hasn't happened yet, but, well, the jury's still out after three days. Sometimes meta lessons are fun to craft, even for forum etiquette.This is an excellent way to get flagged as a spammer by a tired moderator.
For anyone else confused:
- The OP claimed they're "new here" and asked for help, entirely failing to define with what (forums, game, building a PC, or something completely different?)
so
- I provided them with "advice for a newbie", just entirely failing to define with what. This time I chose "pull-ups for noobs", which is pretty much "as likely" to be useful for the OP as the other guesses above... not quite, but practically equally unlikely.
There's now, what, about an hour total spent on throwing completely random advice at the OP, which isn't exactly time well spent for anyone. Not a major loss, but nothing duckduckgo wouldn't have produced either.

If you place a bedroll and (optionally) a land claim block then there should be no risk of that happening. The only way resetting would normally happen is if you are doing quests and the trader sent you to the POI you were using as a base. If you place a bedroll in a POI it keeps the traders from using that POI as part of a quest. At least that's the way it is supposed to work.

if there is a bedroll and or a claim block placed down then it will be excluded from the quest queue. if a quest is already open you should get a text warning preventing you from doing so till quest is closed.

I actually heavily disagree mega it was grandspartan that saved me from quitting 7dtd for good on my first ever blood moon horde. Watching youtubers can help new people to understand the game better

I would agree that watching a stream once is beneficial if the person just wants to try out a game for a few minutes to see if he likes it and doesn't know anything about it. BUT if that person already asks for some tips here in the forum and gets a handful of advice and obviously knows that he could ask here whenever a problem comes up, then watching a streamer is highly superfluous and spoils the fun.
