As the title says I'm currently unable to place any tools such as the grill or beaker in my campfire. The tool slots are non existent.

It might not be a bug, it might be another issue (like a mod or corrupted files).  Please post your output log so we can see what is going on with your game and if it is indicating any issues.  The log file can be very helpful when shared.  Should also be posted in the General Support Sub forum.
