I did a search looking for answers to my question before posting. I just didn't come up with anything. You have to admit, searching one long thread for a specific topic isn't exactly easy, and I didn't really have the time to go back page by page that far. I did go back five or six pages, but...

I do appreciate those on the thread who are willing to answer a question more that once for people, like me, who aren't able to find what they're looking for. It's much more user friendly than just, "That was answered already. Go find it."

I know the question has already been answered, but i'm gonna look at returning a quality 1 item rather than breaking.

ALSO, your crafting skill helps. So a perk of 5 in say... weapons... means any weapon of 51 or lower will not degrade on repair (52 would degrade to 47, but then wont degrade further)

I think I found the issue.

It's not checking for locked recipes when seeing if the repair button should be enabled or not.
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for pointing it out. We did up our tool and weapon skills to 1 each (don't have a lot of skill points yet), and that made the difference. :)

Wanted to join your discord and I may quite possibly be completely blind but I can't seem to find out how to gain access to the channels (yes, I've read the bit about changing my status to Survivor, but I have no idea how to do that).
There's a thing you have to react to in the wilderness channel (hint: color of the number 7 on the forum/in-game)

demons are lighting me up (fireballs) when i travel in the irradiated ares in my stock hazmat suit, so i made all the "radiation ready" mods and installed them in my, as of now, steel armor, and will go back and see how it does.

questions are;

1. seems drinking doesn't stop the fire (as in vanilla ) didn't expect it to as it didn't in DF18 either. is there any thing that does?.

 2. is there some way other than taking it off and putting it back on to repair the hazmat gear and radiation ready mods? i notice they degrade after combat. i get hit a lot.

3. i started DF w/ the default map which was navezgane, will i still see the bunkers, labs, and Eve? my other 2 DF play throughs have been on a different map.

only bug i've had so far is the chest i placed inside the POI area of the skyscraper quest ( after activating the quest ) and stashed stuff in as i was clearing the building, disappeared. i've experienced them disappearing if they are on the POI area before activating the quest as the quest resets, but never afterwards until this. i assume it's a TFP thing. being careful now to keep all my good stuff as possible on me or in my vehicle.

i apologize in advance if these topics have already been addressed somewhere.

2) I dont think so. AFAIK you have to remove most things to repair them.
3) Yes. I edited Nav to have those POI's included.

Just some feedback :

Not a fan of the degrade system. It punish you only at the start, when there is enough things that's already challenging.

Trader guards don't do their jobs. Rather return to vanilla state where traders are protected, than this where their bases simply get destroyed . Cant protect the trader and a base. 
Degrade system is probably gonna get tweaked, so instead of breaking your item if it would degrade lower than 1, it just goes to 1.

Trader protection is absolutely being left off. It causes NRE's with bandits and survivors and I hate them being invulnerable.

Wrong has is fine. It's because I edited the files.

Basically it puts the server in the "modded" category on the server browser, rather than vanilla. :)

 
I'm sure this has been covered a lot, however I am struggling to get my DF to load, when I launch from the mods launcher with EAC deactivated, the game fires up but will go to a black screen with the 7DTD cursor, i can move this around but have no sound of the menu, I've deleted the launcher and reinstalled it, I have even tried direct downloading the mod and adding it to files after referencing a YT video on how to do so, the problem still occurs, when I do a The Fun Pimps "latest stable" and look at the version for some reason it shows 17.1, I have even done a Steam integrity check and all was fine.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

YOu need to right click 7 days to die in your steam library and select properties and then click the betas tab and make sure opt out of all betas. That will make sure you download the latest version wich should be alpha 19 stable. Then completely remove your DF install from the 7DTD folder that it instelled to. Then use the launcher to reinstall. Hope that helps.

im trying to use the sorcery modlet with df but i dont see it on the list of modlets any one doing this?
Have to download it manually. Then when you extract your files only put the sorcery file in the mods folder of your darknessfalls install. Dont use the bag space file (cant recall the exact name).

 
As top tier in machine guns Im still using DFgunPlasmaCannon from A18.4, but I need some help with a minor annoyance.
Originally this weapon do not have any "property class="Action1" and therefor no zoom effect when clicking right button.
I have hoped to add a small zoom effect and I have tried to add a "property class="Action1" with no luck.
This seem a little more complex than I hoped for, so I need help with this.
Is it possible to add right click zoom to a weapon, or is this something that is defined deep down in some unreachable files?

That will make sure you download the latest version wich should be alpha 19 stable. Then completely remove your DF install from the 7DTD folder that it instelled to. Then use the launcher to reinstall. Hope that helps.

My partner and I have being playing your mod for some time and really love the mod. We have just started a new Youtube channel called     Run and Hide Gamer      and are now featuring Darkness Falls for 7DTD as it is one of the best mods out there.

Hopefully more people will see your mod in action and will come here and download your mod.

I tried to change my username to        Run and Hide Gamer     but it looks like I am stuck using Sarah Steele in this forum...... but thats OK.

Boot vanilla, make sure you have A19b180 (listed in the top right corner), then try this.

THANK YOU that seemed to the trick, it had an issue logging me into steam on my first attempt after following this guide but it is now installed 😁

I tried it and get some weird attachment error when loading and cant use it, same result as before when using different zoom settings in  "<property class="Action1">"

what's the name of the boxing gym poi or is it gone from A19...can't seem to find it in the prefab.xml or I'm looking for the wrong thing 

 
I am not sure if this has been reported, but some of the guys in my server found it, they could only replicate it with the mod and were not able to do so in vanilla game. 

So the problem here is that when you dig a hole in the ground, make a tunnel around 1 block high and then crouch in there you can see through world. This is a mod/game breaking bug as you can also shoot zombies from there without any collision, loot any treasure or in PvP servers you can actually kill players.
