That could be it. It has happened to me in the middle of a horde. Painful and I still don't know how I didn't die that time, seeing as I just die all the time! Not that I know, but sounds like a fix for when you drop waist-deep into the ground; it'll push you further up when trying to recover from that. It's been pretty hit and miss getting up lately.
Welcome to game development, where falling through the world still occasionally happened even in big AAA titles. If you think you have a proper solution for then go teach the industry how to do itAhhh, so it is a cludge. In stead of making it so you dont get pushed into blocks they add a load of mechanics to try and "make it better"
Specifically, when the player gets pushed into blocks somehow the game auto tries to unstick you by pushing you upward. The change was because it wasn't pushing you up hard enough, causing you to fall back down then push you back up then you fall down... (repeat infinitely).
It means that game will push you into cube type blocks more easily, by increasing force you pop out of terrain. Great fix! :Tahaan said:One of the changes mentioned in the release notes for Build 173 is "Increased push up motion when player is stuck"
