Can't splint sprained leg?

Title.

I went about 5 minutes without glue or duct tape to fix my sprained leg. Found a glue, made a tape, then a splint. Try to use splint, get message "you cannot use that at this time".

So there's just nothing you can do to aid a sprained leg now? Lame.

Also, why does a sprained leg impact your health more than a broken one? This can't be intentional...or?
