Free food.Damn, you guys weren't fu**ing around with animal spawns.
I can see this being a pain in the @%$*#! 1st couple days in. Since I'm already on day 12 I'm aptly able to defend myself.
I agree, it was nerfed a lil too much. Before this, I only saw one zombie bear, one dire wolf, and a few dogs. And thats in the last month since I started playing.
Just tonight I encountered 2 bears & a wolf in Diersville, a dire wolf, 2 mountain lions & a pack of dogs along with a zombie bear in the snow biome!! And that's just one game day, 90 min days. Holy sh*t fellas!!
its like going MacDonald's but the food is more gamey, and you have to skin them, and they will attack you, Ok is not like MacDonald's at all !Free food.
I understand the problem with all the meat and I understand that it needs to be scaled properly by number of players in Multiplayer and the threats reduced again for the first few days.Free food.
Indeed, the lack of animal spawns was I think to shred off the free meat it also supplies. What they need to adjust is the amount of meat harvested from each corpse but keep the numbers of animals up as wild life is a natural element the biomes need (specially forest) for diverse danger and fun moments.Free food.
Just typed out basically all that you just said... haha..I agree that meat comes in abundance now. If you drive around in the forest and engage every animal on your way you will end up with hundreds of meat in a single day. However, I absolutely love that many animals, adds a lot of fun / threat / excitement / variety to the game in my opinion.
Instead of decreasing amount of animals again there are other options that I'd prefer over that:
- Decrease amount of meat a player can loot from an animal
- Increase amount of meat we need for recipes
Guess first option would be more comfortable.
Why so angry!Damn, you guys weren't fu**ing around with animal spawns.

Love the new animal spawn. Now you cant just carelessly run around the wild anymore but have to watch out.
In Kansas a 45 lb bow is all that is required to bow hunt and I've seen many a kid kill a deer at that poundage. Most hunters probably are shooting 60-65 lbs, which BTW isn't very difficult to pull back as it's more about technique than strength since compound bows holding lbs is only 20 to 30 percent of draw weight. I've actually only ever known one man who set his bow up at 75 lbs and it wasn't for hunting it was for competition.Yeah, we not talking about the plastic bows you shoot the stick-on arrows with. That, contrary to believe, won't kill a zombie.
Go try and @%$*#! a proper 75lb break power compound bow, which is probably what you need to do any serious hunting with. Unless you just want to anger a boar.
EDIT : This is why I am a fan of LBD. It is so much simpler. You could assign parent stats to skills. Bows, dmg increase with strength, accuracy with agility. You can assign any amount of skills with it's required parent stats, without breaking any static class paths. etc etc. Problem solved.
1. New players should be playing on warrior or lower with jog or maybe run, this should not be a game you can just pick up and play on a high difficulty. I can hear the wolves, hear the deer you just need to play enough to know how to handle things."Please don't balance difficulty based on long time players. This is just too much."
