Nobody asked, for example, about legendary items... it was a big feature announced several times, why is it not in A19?? Will it be in A20?

Also Mini-Bosses were announced for POI loot rooms, but they're not in either, why? Will they be in A20 or have they been scrapped like the behemoth?

When the sledge turret was first announced I actually thought it would be a new type of fixed turret you could use in your base design.

Will there ever be more turret types for our base designs? There has been talk for some time of a Flame Turret, but I guess that's been scrapped too?

It would be great to also have a fixed version of the Sledge Turret that we could place as a block: the INT portable version will probably mostly be used by INT guys IMO.
@Roland : here there are a few I was interested in, just off the tip of my head! Thanks. 😁

I     I got a question about the stream.  http://https://t.co/0NMCJ5ZqBy?amp=1   A-19 dev stream 4.

At around 25:48 Madmole and Prime talk about food. Prime has his avatar eat stew. the stew shows a hydration gain of 20 but in the stream hydration drops. Is this a bug?

Then I see the stats screen and now food is dropping like a sinker. 28:00 water is down to nothing soon to being followed by food.

II     The other thing that I find strange is when Madmole and Prime talk about skills. They talk about top ranks and Madmole asked "How many points do you need to get that top rank?" And Prime reply's "seven".

Here I am thinking to myself that it also says that you need a good rank in Attribute Strength.  Each one takes a few points per rank.

From a question I asked last night:

SMGs are staying within Agility, under Gunslinger; does that mean that perk now governs 4 weapons (pistol, magnum, SMG, and the upcoming Desert Vulture)?

Madmole did reply and confirm SMG staying under agility; I was just too dumb to follow through with the rest of the question.

Yes, just like Boomstick "governs" Blunderbuss, Double Barrel, Pump action and Auto Shotguns.

@madmole have you guys considered adding more caplock muzzle loading firearms (musket/rifle, vollygun or pistol) as primitive tier 1 options?

The question about fishing being added seems to be common among all the streams so far.
To me, it feels right that fish should be a part of a survivor's menu. However, I don't think pulling out a fishing pole and waiting for a bite suits well for 7 Days to Die.
I would prefer to see catfish traps, or spear fishing, but even more so... noodling!

Another method, although very controversial in non-apoc times, would be underwater tnt blasts, and then collect stunned fish floating on the surface.

I like the changes to the game. Stream 4 A-19

The new stone shovel looks like a spear.  This is a good look as it goes with my idea of shovel-spears.

I like how you can now find dirt rather than more snow in the snowy boimes.

Removing food poison from most foods and reworking it is much better.  I hated the idea of risking tossing it every-time I ate.

Starting off in the (stone age) should prove more challenging and fun. Before it seemed like I could find a Blunderbuss soon enough to do any good. By the time I found a  Blunderbuss it would be too weak to compete the the already growing arsenal of firearms that I've already found.

Nice look to tools and weapons.

The club look was harder to tell if it was modded or not but otherwise looked great.

@Jost Amman & @Kosmic Kerman, you both make valid points about the dev streams, imo of course.

Even though I know streams are generally fairly casual things; chatting on various topics, interacting with the randomness that the viewers post, etc.

I had to remind myself that they're not really "interviews" like we might see on a news program, or the results of one that we read in the paper.

I noticed that when they decided to start answering questions near the end of the stream, MM appeared like he was kind of expecting a complied list of questions. He even mentioned looking at the dev stream thread here in the forums for posted questions.

Which made me think of how he used to handle Q&A about upcoming Alphas. The forum thread that someone would parse through and complie a list of questions, then MM would make a vid of him reading and answering a lot of them.

Maybe adding a bit of that kind of thing into the streams could be useful?

Start off the stream w brief general intros, maybe a few minutes of teaser play/pics/what-not, then hit the first group of questions that were posted in the thread. Then go casual, let Prime & the devs have some fun & show stuff we may not have a clue about. Be 'streamy' I guess :) Then to close out the stream address the remaining thread questions or have an open Q&A.

-- just my .005 cent 😉
Madmole looked thru the forum thread of questions submitted specifically for that stream............. said most had already been addressed and answered a few from there and a ton from the stream itself. Dev thread was never mentioned nor was intended to be used for the stream.

There will be pages upon pages of patchnotes once the Update drops, but for now the First Page is a pretty good Summary.

You should also visit:

from Adam the Waster who put a lot of effort to gather all the Informations.
thanks you! that was very nice to say!

its nice to get a compliments after all the work i have been doing IRL... me back!!!

Yeah, personally I didn't add my questions there because I thought with all the people here much more expert than me on 7DTD they'd already ask whatever makes sense. I should have probably been more "pro-active" I guess.

I'm still more used to Steam forums than this forum to be honest, that's why I don't write here as much.

Though, I must admit, this new forum layout and UI feels better than before.

Edit: wow! I hit the 200 posts mark! O__O

Don't beat yourself up too much, I've asked questions in the Dev Stream threads #1 and #2 and unless I just missed it, they didn't answer them. Not gonna lie, having to skim through 3 hours streams and realising they couldn't answer the full 2 pages of questions people asked on the forums was a bummer. I expected them to just go over all the questions in order given how shallow those question threads were in the end. Would have understood if the threads were 5+ pages long, but as is I was disappointed and just gave up coming up with questions for the following streams.

I had to leave the last night's stream halfway so I had to skip the Q&A.

What baffles me is that people could have asked tons of good questions but most in the chat were just fooling around and wasting this opportunity.

1) Legendaries are not in A19. There wasn't time. They will be in A20 unless other things take priority and push legendaries back again. Mini-Bosses are not in because they decided to rework the irradiated zombies into unique and strong special infected AKA mini-bosses. From the streams it sounded like A20 might be where they get rid of the green glow zombies and create these new special infected but it all depends on what they choose to focus on.

2) The flame turret model still exists and it just is a matter of them deciding to prioritize it. It's a big maybe. They are not letting anything distract them from their goal to get the game release worthy.

my only question is!

will we EVER! get a zombie like the new crawler but walks around! like a normal zombie but he looks Very rotten!

i think he would fit in with this game very well!

Oh, so the new special infected and the mini-bosses will be the same guy?

I hope they'll at least buff them when they fit the role of "POI Final Mini-Boss"! 😀

Side note: it's a shame the sledge turret is not usable for static base defense like the other turret types... IMO it would really shine in that role. 😐

They'll fill the same role but there could always be room for additional things like the giant vulture they were talking about. Just talk for now but it all depends on how much time they have.

I had the same thought.  Would of been cool to have an electricity required version just like the shotgun and smg variants. 😄

Yeah the focus is mainly on the Twitch stream. IMO they should do a Reddit AMA like most devs do as well. Just pick a day and warn about it in advance, let people post all their questions and others upvote the relevant ones to the top and then take an hour just going through and giving answers to the top 10-15 . Pretty standard practice and just gets the most popular questions out of the way, and also puts them in writing so people can link to them every time someone asks about them for the millionth time

Wish they would just ban the people on stream asking the same questions over and over and over and over that were already answered. Spamming a question is one thing, it's basically the only way for it to be seen. But spamming "When is the game going gold?" "When will A19 be out?" "When is console being updated" " when are bandits being added?" "when are car mods being added" x500 is so annoying.

People will ask those every stream without fail, and they will answer them every stream without fail, and then people will ask them AGAIN in the same stream without fail

An AMA on Reddit would gain a ton of interest, especially if they did it on a bigger subreddit like /r/Gaming or something where there would tens of thousands of people commenting. Even if they did it on the 7 Days to Die subreddit, it would completely dwarf the stream, the stream is usually around 800-ish viewers, even small AMA on Reddit usually have thousands.

Here's an example of a small AMA that would be similar in scope / scale to one this game would likely get. Even a small one is 2500+ people active in the thread which is triple what Twitch streams are bringing in, and it just takes the devs a couple of hours similar to the Twitch streams
