Zombies Breaking the Rules of Zombies Never Run! PS5

I have zombies never run enabled but the red prostitute zombie & twitchy zombie seem to break this rule randomly. It usually happens if they fall from a height they get up & begin running for about 6-12 seconds then go back to walking. At least I think it's that long I kill them when I see them start running.

 
There is a mechanic that triggers this, which is not tied to your walk, run, jog, ect. settings.

It's the Rage mechanic. On default difficulty each zed has a 20% chance to enter rage mode when taking damage.  They will run when this is triggered.

The % chance for it to happen increases with the difficulty level of the game. I believe it is 0% at the lowest difficulty.

 
I see in that case shouldn't this be fixed to respect the world rule of zombies never run? It kinda seems like a contradiction that it does not.

 
No, it is a different mechanic. Has been like that for a long time now too.

Difficulty doesn't change much anyway. Just the amount of damage done in regards to player vs zombies, and the % chance for zeds to enter rage mode.

So if you want to be completely safe with no rage mechanics, just lower the difficulty. You'll hit zeds like a mac truck as well.
