PC your perk decisions drastically changes the A19 game

I must have gone through 10 games before I finally have settled on a build that I like. I put more points in strength and others in fortitude that I've never placed before and don't feel like any of them are wasted.

Just wish I could speck into the SMG. I've got the drum schematic. Looted the crack tower and a crack store and didn't find it.

I agree. I randomly saw on reddit how valuable the perks animal tracker and huntsman are. So yesterday with my GF, I started with those 2 and immediately found over 12 chickens. It's insanely good.

I find myself making combat decisions based on animal tracking. Drop into stealth to take on that Biker zombie and...OMG CHICKEN! Do I still shoot the Biker walking right at me? The chicken is moving away - do I chase after it and aggro the Biker and the zombies over where the chicken is? How much meat is left at base?!? I FORGET!!!

I almost always go after the chicken and accept the consequences of aggroing 8 zombies during the chase.

I've done that too but more often I'm going the wabbit and the damn zombie chases it away so I get pissed off and shoot the zombie and lose the wabbit.

If you're investing in Fortitude, then there's no reason to settle for an SMG, the poor-man's automatic.

Go Whole Hog and put that drum-mag on an M60. My gun can hold basically a whole stack of 7.62 and rips dudes apart in two bullets.

If you want to conserve ammo, the Tactical Assault Rifle accepts the single-fire receiver.

Or put the drum-mag on an auto-shotgun, since you said you were going strength.

Yeah, sometimes I wish I could invest points in weapon-skills without having to invest in that attribute too. I like hunting rifles, but a hunting rifle isn't going to save me on horde-night, so i'll have to prioritise fortitude for my machine-gun, and i'm the group engineer too, so I gotta go INT, with advanced engineering and grease-monkey.

I'd like to go with a baseball bat instead of a brawling weapon too, but... well. I don't get the bonuses unless I invest heavily, so I'm better off with my fists.

Oh well, at least steel knuckles will let me harvest meat without having to haul a machete around with me.

Yea. If you play for example Darkness Falls mod, your words are true. In that mod, you need to consider chasing the chicken or not, risking aggroing 8-10 zombies at once. But in vanilla? No way... Zombies are almost completely gone from the outside areas. You barely can see a single walker here and there. I remember that many times i roaming back and forth to traders on a vanilla A19 server with the 4x4, and i not encountered with a single zombie on the road. Just completely empty areas everywhere. Cities are way too safe to moving in this version. Around A16 Cities are full with dogs, cops and other walkers and feral wights. Yea i know sometimes a roaming horde still spawning in with like 5-6 zombies, but thats still nowhere compared to A16 zombie counts.

I play 4x biome spawns + Creature Pack. Plenty of aggro-able enemies around.
