Xbox pc players can not join dedicated server while steam players can

We have opened both self and external hosted dedicated servers. The people bought the game from steam is able to join, xbox store isn't. We got errors; "could not retrieve server id" from external hosted dedicated server and "could not retrieve server information" from my friends self hosted dedicated server. I'm the one of xbox store players and I could join other peoples dedicated servers but not ours.

How hard would it be to publish a decent set of explanations, documentation, and guidelines for server settings?

And no. It's not a port or firewall issue.

The first link SylenThunder posted was a link to a pinned thread that explains what to do in case of problems. Specifically it will tell you how to post your logfile or logfiles.

Without logfiles there isn't really a good chance to find out what problem you have. You seem to have decided the problem are your settings, but there could be other problems, from network settings, OS settings, driver problems to bugs.

This isn't a guideline. This is a compilation of what's written in the config file that I've already read, and it doesn't say anything about xbox store crossplay settings.

Also, thank you for not helping me. My group of 8 friends are unable play the game they bought because of you.

It doesn't say anything about PC crossplay settings because there are not any for you to mess around with. It is already enabled automatically be default, and to disable it you would have to go editing a file that you shouldn't be touching.

Your issue is something in your configuration, or in how you have things set up. Without details from your setup, how you created the server, what settings you configured, what your network and port forwarding looks like, and a log, I can't help you much. No one can.

Your group is only unable to play because you aren't interested in doing the needful. You would rather sit there and be mad than to put some effort into getting help the right way.

I will not humiliate myself by trying to get help from someone who is arrogant towards me, deletes my comments for "flaming" and top of that swears at me. I'ld provide the needed logs if asked politely or in a professional manner. Instead, I prefer not to play your game, for which I cannot access technical support because my messages were deleted by the forum moderation and I was softbanned while the same moderation swears at me publicly.

First of all moderators on this site are normal forum users, not employees of TFP. Secondly I do not see any sentence where he flames you. Please quote that sentence. I hope you don't mean "@%$#ed off", that is just slang for being in a very bad mood and not a personal attack.

Considering your response that isn't there now (I saw it before it was removed) when SylenThunder provided you with instructions on how to ask for help (like posting a log) and gave you a link to info about server configuration, you are the one who is in the wrong, not them.  If you had simply said something along the lines of "That isn't what I was looking for." or whatever, people would be more interested in helping you.  Blaming others because you have a problem, which is what you did in your original reply and again in a lesser way in your next reply after that was removed, isn't going to make people want to help you.

You can't really expect people to have any chance of helping you if you refuse to provide a log.  Blaming people for being unable to play when you have still not provided a log that the original response to you (the pinned topic link) tells you to do doesn't even make sense because by not providing that log, it is you who are making it so you can't play.
