PC Xbox -> PC Cross platform?

Hello,

Myself and my Brother have tried playing today. I play on PC (On the xbox game pass app) and he plays on an Xbox series X. We can not find a way to connect to eachother. Is this a thing that is being looked into? Or am I just being stupid? Either way, please let me know :)

 
It is not currently possible. You and your brother are playing two completely different versions of the game, and they are not compatible.

Later when the PC game is finished, TFP has plans to release a new console version that matches the PC version and will allow cross-play on the different platforms. Several of the updates to a20 have been focused on laying the groundwork for this future possibility.
