Overall guide lines
Melee new updates and more

You have now a more varied way of playing now.

First Is new moves/combat moves, you have basic and power attack. Then you have a minor block that lessens the damage you take in the front by 50% and when you press both mouse keys or bumpers you can do a push/bash

You are also able to bash with guns and Bows and you can equip heavy stocks and bayonet to ether make your hits more lethal, more stunning, add bleed, or quicker with less cost to stamina.

Bashing allows you too keep zombies at bay, much like L4D it's good for 1 or 2 zombies but don't expect it to save you on horde night or tanky zombies.. and bashing cost about 50 stamina per bash but is lowerd with perks

Blocking lowers your stamina faster and faster over time the longer you do it so but it reduces the damage taken. However with a sheild you will take no damage but at the cost of sheilds health and stamina

Blocking a hit in the right time will give you stamina back.

One handed weapons are special because you can equip a sheild while two handed weapons can not. Side note: Pistols and magnums can use sheilds as well.

You equip your sheild via ether just your inventory or a sheild slot that will be showen on your hop Bar.

When you have a sheild your power attack is replaced with a sheild block that will lower or ignore damage from the front. However the sheild will take the damage and break quicker overtime.
Two handed weapons hit harder but uses more stamina and can't uses sheilds.

Lastly, you have 5 tiers of melee weapons

  • tier 0 is stone
  • tier 1: scrap
  • tier 2: iron
  • tier 3: iron reinforced
  • tier 4: steel
  • tier 5 mechanical

Guns:
Most have 2 sub types but some (pistols have more and others) each sub type Is a different ammo type and deal more or less damage

General
Harvesting Tools
• Picks/hachets harvest more uses less stamina but deal less damage
• Pickaxes/axes/shovels harvest less uses more stamina but deal heavy damage
• Mechanical tools harvest even more and deal high damage but cost fuel

You stuff like your starting Stone axe then you progression to scrap and you can have a scrap hachet or axe/pick or pick axe. And it goes up and up

dismantling tools
• Allows dismantling to scrap things down
You go from a wrench to a heavy wrench, rachet, impact driver to the motor driver:

repair tools
• Level now effects repair amount and increase upgrade speed
• You go from a stone axe, claw hammer, nail gun. Same as usual

farming tools (harvest and tending)
• Harvesting tools Increase harvest of plants/grass destruction
• These are sycles. You go from your hands, to scrap, iron iron renfoced, etc all the way to harvester. Each tier and level increases chance of harvest and a base harvest amount.  So with the Harvester you can get like up to 20 plus any skills or armor

• Treding and able to upgrade crop plots and dirt on the ground
These are Hoes, they allow you to harvest crops on the ground like the old days and also auto plant seeds. And change the ground type too a dirt if your choice for the cost of clay.

Perception
Spears/pikes
Spears/pikes are two handed weapons that excell in range in terms of melee. Spears are shorter range but faster to hit with while pikes are slower but hit harder

You go from stone, Scrap, iron, reinforced, etc. Then you got Mechanical such as the chain spear, shock spear and Hydraulic spear

Rifles
Rifles have head shot Multipliers and are great range weapons. The 5.56 ones hold more ammo and deal less. While the 7.62 ones deal more damage but less ammo

Examples are the hunting rifle vs Varrmit rifle. The hunting rifle holds 1 shot while the Varrmit rifle holds 3 shots.

Both are usesful at range but one is better for some situations over others.

Gun tiers are the
• 0: Pipe rifle 1 and pipe bolt action rifle 3
• 1: Hunting rifle 1 vs Varrmit rifle 3
• 2: scout rifle 3 vs ranger rifle 5
• 3: Marksman rifle: 5 vs Battle rifle 10
• 4 Sniper rifle 12 and combat rifle: 16
• 5: Heavy sniper 15 vs auto scout rifle: 20
• 6: Heavy auto sniper 25 to assault sniper: 30 rounds

Carbines/heavy carbines
Carbines are Rifles that fire pistol or magnum ammos. You go from45. And 44

They deal more head shot damage then Pistols but not as good as rifle

And when perked they gain a damage multiplier buff

• Pipe carbine 45 holds 6 shots, while the pipe one holds 1.
• Tier 1 holds the same but more damage
• Tier 2 holds 8 shots of 45 and 4 shots of 44
• Tier 3 holds 12 shots of 45 and 6 shots of 44
• Tier 4 holds 16 shots of 45 and it's Simi auto, and 8 shots of 44.
• Tier 5 holds 20 shots and can have a drum mag, and the 44 holds 12 shots of 44.
• Tier 6 gives you a automatic 45 carbine aka smg that holds 30 rounds, while the 44 holds 16 and fires in Simi auto.

Explosives
Explosives are useful for AOE damage and destroying the area around you but Explosives are separated in 2 tiers
Explosive weapons like grenade launchers and rockets
• You got the pipe grenade launcher 1 shot and not very safe, then a stronger 1 shot one, then a 2 shot, 3 shot, then you get a 6 shot and a 8 shot grenade laucher. lastly is the rocket laucnhers, you got the normal one then the tier 6 4 Shot RPG!

then you got Explosive throwables that don't need anything special

  • you have basic Throwables such a Molotov's, then pipe bombs, grenades, stickys, fire grenades, then lasty you have a Contact and cluster grenade.

Throwthrowables spears:
Throwing spears are a handy throwables that treat armor as a after thought.

  • you have all tiers and the higher the tier the more damage they deal, they are cheap and meant to be disposable, you can melee with them but after a few hits they will break, they do however stack so it can he helpful in a pinch

Strength
clubs/two handed clubs
Great at many things not the best of everything.  Good for stunning, modifying for effects such as bleed and armor. And great durability. Two handed clubs are better but use more stamina

you got the basic wooden then two handed stone club, then you progress to stuff like iron tier and the baseball bat, etc. then you get too the finial that being mechanical. that being the hydraulic club then the Stun club

Shotguns
Shotguns are great for close range but not so much up close. Unless you have slugs for frag rounds.

You have 2 types of ammo, 20 gauge has more ammo but less damage, 12 gauge is stronger but more expensive

You go from Pipe shotguns to break actions, double action, revolver shotguns, Lever actions, pump shotguns then auto shotguns.

Sledge Hammers
Great and powerful and perfect for hordes but at the cost of stamina there's no sub types but It's great to break skulls. And great at stunning. It can break sheilds quick. Nothing much to say

you got stone, scrap, iron, etc

Swords/two handed swords
Swords are great for killing targets and chopping heads and crippling and a rare bleed effect

However there is downsides they break faster then most then most weapons. But doesn't mean it's bad.

flail's
boomerangs

Fortitude
Knuckles/Gauntlets
assault rifles/machine guns
Sheilds/heavy sheilds
Tomahawks/battle axes
throwing axes

Agility
pistols/magnums/smgs
Bows/crossbows/Repeating Crossbows
Knives/machetes/katana
Throwing knives
Blow gun/Dart guns
Whips

Intellect
Batons
Robots
slingshots/airguns
Stun guns
special throwables
Flamethrowers

How about you that weapons would you add?

Great!

My suggestion about block progression: wood > reinforced wood > courogated metal > cobblestone > concrete > reinforced concrete > iron > reinforced iron > steel > reinforced steel

Is this a mod you are working on???  sounds fun.  It reminds me of older alphas.  They used to have steel ammo, which caused more damage to the gun that fired it.

No. I wish I could but sadly I don't mod.

If a modder wanted to take that idea then that would be awesome but it's just wish list more or less
