PC Why is there a diagonal....

Not a18 related, just a quick question.

I was thinking... why does the wooden hatch, have a diagonal rotation???

Is it like just to make obssessive-compulsive people go crazy? by seating it diagonal over a square hole??

I might try it once and see if I can resist the urge to not change it.

They've slowly been introducing 45 degree rotations for blocks. I'm assuming some day it will make sense. Right now ladders can't be placed at 45 degrees, so the fact that hatches can be rotated that way is strange.
