PC Where's the iron ore? Alpha 19

I've been searching biomes for about 45 mins and I have yet to find an above ground iron ore block. Yet I have found multiple lead, coal, and nitrite ores above ground. Anyone else have this issue or is this just a bad RNG map?

Sounds like bad rng, I'm finding the stuff everywhere.

dig some of those veins, they can lead to other resources, my nitrate mine lead to lead (heh) and coal...which was perfect since thats literally ammo....my coal mine lead to iron

Turn down grass distance to lowest and feast your eyes on the all ores you'll find. I did 20min lap around my city and found 8 coal and nitrate veins which I was looking for.

I've been finding plenty of all the various node types. However surface nodes doesn't seem very representative of what lies beneath. Every iron node I've dug into led to a mine where iron is the mostly displaced by coal and nitrate with lead on the side.
