PC Where did the weather go?

I've noticed very little if any weather changes in A19. Also, it seems we always start in the pine forest biome recently. No longer are we struggling through the wasteland or searching for warm clothes or fleeing from angry vultures. Our group always plays random gen. To be honest if the random gen was 90 desert, we would still try to make it work. likewise for the other biomes. I feel part of the challenge has gone. Pine forest is safe and getting rather boring.

 
I think that they are working in an overhaul of the Random generator system.

Meanwhile you always can try Nitrogen to generate maps, like one biome maps, if you desire. I'm currently playing an only snow biome map.

You start in the forest biome, but travel is not restricted, I've had maps that the starting area bordered a desert on one side and a snow on the other.

But you will start in the forest.  If you don't like it or want something else just travel.

with biomes gaining different difficulties in the next update or 2 they have set it to start you in the easiest biome, the forest.  Desert and Snow will be like a tier 2 difficulty and wasteland the hardest.

If you want a challenge just move to that biome. You can always teleport there and bring everyone with you, then just start there. Or use Nitrogen to generate a map that is an odd type like all desert or something.
