What sorts of things do you do post 300 lvl

Personally I could never stick with a world for that long because of boredom, but if there was more end-game content that could very well change.

As for future end game stuff, I assume the Duke's casino will be one of the toughest POI.

We might also see more places like Area 7, maybe including some special events.

I don't think I've even ever reached lv100 in a game. I usually reset around day 50.
Seconded. I'm usually done with a world around level 100ish. Endgame is very freeform since it's just self-made objectives at that point.. But for me the checklist is something like..
Badass Main base running on solar power, complete with cozy rooms and a sniper tower. Badass horde base. Absurd number of supplies. Outposts in each biome capable of processing whatever mats need processing.. And a special objective which is usuallly something that I think sounded cool.
There's been a massive elevated highway.. there's been the gyrocopter obstacle course..
..And this current playthrough, which I intend to conclude when 2.5 exp comes out- I've been farming to make a ridiculous number of explosives.. gonna ride out into the wasteland and level the city.. or as much of it as I can. Set dynamite and such all around the base of sky scrapers and just burn through as much gunpower as it takes until in my headcannon I can consider the city cleared and it's time to move on.

.. If I were trying to extend the playthrough into the 300s.. maybe at that point I'd be designing/building my own village

From what people have said in the past, most people don't play the game to level 300. It is normal to start a new game around day 50-80 when playing 60 minute days. Some play longer, but most don't. The game is designed to let you start over many times, unlike most games where you'll play it once or twice and then not again for a couple of years or more. So most people play until they feel their world is done and then start over. Each person makes their own decision when that will be. Some play until they have tier 3 quality 6 gear, others until they have completed some specific goal they have set for themselves. And others just play until they are tired of their map and want to start over. For builders, they may play until they have finished building some mega base. It's up to each player when to start over. For those who want to play until level 300, you'll still need to decide at what point to start over. That could be right at level 300 or after you've reached some other goal.

As far as anything end game related, that will be more focused on around the day 50-80 mark in the game since that's the end game of most players. You may see another tier of zombies or equipment at some point or something like that, but you'll still be fighting those zombies or maxed on that next tier of equipment long before level 300.

If they ever do anything that is focused on after level 300, it's unlikely to happen until after 4.0. And my guess is that won't happen at all, but that's just my guess.

If I make it that far and I haven't. I would mix play styles or start fresh with a stupid high game stage world. Or do a building project

If only we had more decor tho

Ideally, I would have loved for the game to become increasingly challenging to the point where you will be killed. Then it becomes a question of how long you will survive - because death is inevitable. In practical terms, this could be done by just ramping up the number of zombies spawned for every day/level. Eventually you will run out of ammo and be hunted down.

I like that sort of idea, but for that we also need to be able to run out of quests, because they are kinda making the game have infinite resources, meaning you could technically never run out of things such as ammo.

I sometimes play a world where i dont do quests, just for that reason, to feel that most things are finite… but then again, we have zombie loot bags.
So running completely out of resources is very hard unless you put alot of restrictions on yourself, probably making the game less enjoyable.
Maybe better to go harder on just the increasing zombie-strength over time? 🧐

I was thinking more along the lines that after a certain threshold when most players get bored to the point they start over (day 50 or 60 or lvl 100 or whatever), there will be increasingly more and harder zombies everwhere per day. This include zombies spawning where you are, zombies in POIs, at horde night, wandering hordes, etc, to a point that even if you manage to do a quest despite the huge numbers, you have spent more ammo that you received. You can go mining for resources, but then you would have to fight for those resources against swarms of zombies. Basically, eventually you would get overrun. It then becomes a game of surviving the longest. At some point it would basically become one continuous horde night of the worst zombies. And eventually you would die.

Something like that yes! And this would be a toggleable setting in the world creation, so that those who dont want an impossible lategame can choose so.
The only problem left is to get a computer strong enough to handle hundreds of zombies running at you at once xD

You basically summed up end game in nearly all games with these two sentences.
Project Zomboid "This is how you died". "Live fast, die young, and leave a good-looking corpse,"

Me, I take notes, during every gameplay, and keep adjusting minor bits to make it run like a videobook.
If it were an encapsulated game, like most console games, or Darksouls then I probably would just get
bored. But I have way to many options, and I have saves from different Alphas, I archive them and call
them My Gud day saves. Going back and forth. I groundhog day them and see if it will play out as it did B4.

What sorts of things do you do post 300 lvl? Do you think we will ever get a DLC/expansion that has more endgame goals?
There currently isn't much to do, but I build more bases, explore more of the map and try to learn where the things I want to do better next time are, and how to go about getting them earlier.

There are a great many things I could see doing, post 300, but they are not (yet) in the game.
