PC What happened to Rocks?

Hi everyone! 

Startet a new Game after about 2-3 Years and I was wondering what happened to the huge Rocks to farm Stone? I only found small Stones which give me about 50 Stone or is there any other way how to get big amounts of Stone?

Have you tried 1.0 yet?  A21 didn't have them that I saw, but they are in 1.0 again.

 
If you're on about the large rock outcroppings, the terrain feature, I'm not sure I've seen any in 1.0 so far but I haven't been paying attention as I don't normally dig them for stone.
They are just the same stone terrain blocks as if you go underneath the topsoil, so that's what I normally do if I need lots of stone.

 
I was thinking they were talking about the smaller boulders. In A21 and earlier they would break into pieces and then you could farm the pieces but now the ones on the ground just disappear when they break.

EDIT: ok it was the large boulders they were talking about. :)

If not mistaken after you have run around for a while and opened some of the map you should see them as grey splats on map.

I also use them to get more stone than from smaller boulders.

Mining those does have a different feel to it, so you might just feel like it - but basically Everywhere you're standing on three clay/snow/rubble blocks that are on top of unlimited stone as that same block type. Just the trip to the closest formation takes more time than the digging. :)

Good tip about the map, nonetheless :)

Yeah, that is what I was thinking as well.

Just for the sake of clarity, this is what the other regular boulders look like.

You'll get around 22-26 stone from one of these with zero skills. Takes about 29 hits to finish it off with a T1 stone axe and again, no skills.
Much easier to find when you're looking for stone on day 1.
